Variety writes that Fox's GOTHAM has found its 'Harvey Dent'.

Nicholas D'Agosto (Masters of Sex) will portray the "idealistic assistant district attorney who vows to eradicate the crime and corruption that has poisoned Gotham."

Continuing their description of Dent, Variety writes: "Although he will one day serve as the white knight Gotham desperately needs, Dent also gives the audience a fleeting glimpse of the villain he will become: Two-Face."

The role currently has guest-billing but has series regular potential if GOTHAM gets a second season.

D'Agosto will next appear in the new How I Met Your Mother spin-off How I Met Your Dad. Also among his TV credits are Masters of Sex, Review, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, Heroes, The Office and more.

About GOTHAM: Based upon characters published by DC Entertainment and produced by Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. Starring Ben McKenzie ("Southland," "The O.C."), Donal Logue ("Sons of Anarchy," "Terriers," "Vikings," "Copper") and Jada Pinkett Smith ("The Matrix" films, "HawthoRNe"), GOTHAMfollows one cop's rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

Executive producer Bruno Heller ("The Mentalist") wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the "CSI" franchise, "Nikita"). John Stephens will serve as an executive producer on the series.
