THREE PHANTOMS with Earl Carpenter, Matthew Cammelle & Stephen John Davis to Play Theatre Royal, 7/4-6

By:

Glasgow is set to be haunted by not one Phantom but three as the Theatre Royal will play host to what has become the most exciting concert phenomenon to tour the UK in recent years!

Three Phantoms has already performed to well over 20,000 people since 2011 and has been critically-acclaimed by the public and media alike. Earl Carpenter, Matthew Cammelle and Stephen John Davis will perform and host an evening that celebrates what has become the world's most successful entertainment phenomenon, the story of The Phantom of the Opera. The evening also features songs from other musicals including LES MISERABLES, West Side Story, Spamalot, Kiss Me Kate, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Rock Of Ages and Wicked, to name but a few.

Musical theatre fans - and especially Phantom 'Phans'- are in for a real treat as they can expect some unique backstage insights and anecdotes from Earl's, Matthew's and Stephen's time as the Phantom. The trio will also be singing songs from various other adaptations of the story that inspired Andrew Lloyd Webber to write his incredibly evocative score.

Earl Carpenter is currently playing the Phantom in the 25th Anniversary national tour of The Phantom of the Opera. He has played principal and title roles in a number of productions such as We Will Rock You, Evita, the 25th Anniversary production of LES MISERABLES (London, Europe & 02 Arena), Zorro, The Phantom of the Opera (London, Royal Albert Hall & Royal Variety performance), Witches of Eastwick, Sunset Boulevard, The Merry Widow, the Scottish première of The Secret Garden and Disney's Beauty and the Beast (London & UK tour).

Matthew Cammelle's professional debut was as Brad in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, followed by the part of Marius in LES MISERABLES in the West End. As well as the role of Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera he has appeared in Follies, South Pacific, Beauty and the Beast and the international tour of Mamma Mia, to name but a few.

Stephen John Davis has performed numerous roles in The Phantom of the Opera. His other musical theatre credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, LES MISERABLES, Jesus Christ Superstar and South Pacific. For D'Oyly Carte Opera Company he has appeared in HMS Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance and HMS Pinafore.

No Phantom would be complete without his Christine and Three Phantoms is no exception, as they are joined by international musical and opera star Rebecca Caine. Amongst her many accolades she originated the role of Cosette in the Cameron Mackintosh and RSC production of LES MISERABLES and then joined the original cast of The Phantom of the Opera to play Christine and in the Canadian premiere of The Phantom of the Opera alongside Colm Wilkinson.

What makes Three Phantoms such a success is a commitment to an evening of top West End standard, which is why in addition to the West End talent, the performers will be joined by the masterful accompaniment of Anthony Gabriele, former Music Director of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre and on the new UK touring production.

Earl Carpenter, who plays The Phantom on the current UK national tour said:

"This concert has become a bit of an incredible overnight success for us and audiences around the country have been so supportive, but it is so much fun for us and I think that that is what people enjoy the most. The camaraderie we all have on stage has turned this event into something very entertaining!"

All in all, this really is a unique concert and promises to be an evening of intrigue, humour and knockout music with heart-stirring performances!
