Arvada Center to Stage Regional Premiere of DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY, 4/26-5/15

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open the regional premiere of Death Takes a Holiday directed by Arvada Center Artistic Producer, Rod A. Lansberry in the Main Stage Theatre on April 26, running through May 15, 2016. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., Previews are April 22 - 24 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.  Moderated Talk Backs are scheduled on Friday, May 6 following the 7:30 p.m. performance and Wednesday, May 11 following the 1:00 p.m. performance. The Arvada Center is located at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. and provides free parking for all of its patrons.  

The Hole in the Wall Theater to Present LINT! THE MUSICAL, 1/22-2/13

The Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, CT will present Lint! The Musical written by local playwrights, William Arnold and Scott Auden. Performances run Fridays & Saturdays from January 22nd through February 13th  at 8:00pm with one Sunday matinee on January 31st at 2:00pm.

John Hauser Named Artistic Director of The George London Foundation for Singers

John Hauser, formerly Director of the Rehearsal Department of the Metropolitan Opera, has joined the George London Foundation for Singers in the new position of Artistic Director, assisting the foundation's president, Nora London, with artistic planning.  Stephanie Lamprea continues as General Administrator.  Founded in 1971, the New York-based George London Foundation supports and nurtures young opera singers with an annual competition and recital series.

Hole in the Wall Theater's OF MICE AND MEN to Run 9/25-10/17

The Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, CT is proud to announce Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, the first production of its' 2015-2016 season. Performances run Fridays & Saturdays from September 25th through October 17th with one Sunday matinee on October 11th. 

The Happiness Project Set for Roundhouse Studio Theatre in November

THE HAPPINESS PROJECT is a brand new production that explores our understanding of happiness and well-being. It brings together a company of young artists aged 12-19 and six scientists and academics to create a piece of contemporary theatre. The performances will take place at the Roundhouse, 3rd - 14th November 2015, following a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.

Review Roundup: Alan Menken's DUDDY KRAVITZ Musical Opens in Montreal

The Segal Centre closes its blockbuster 2014-2015 Theatre Season with The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz: The Musical, a world premiere musical adaptation of Mordecai Richler's novel and the feature film by the same name, through July 12, 2015. This new production boasts an original musical score by Alan Menken, the legendary Oscar and Tony winning composer of Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, with book and lyrics by acclaimed lyricist-librettist David Spencer and direction by American theatre veteran Austin Pendleton. Presented with the generous support of RBC and Muse Entertainment. The poignant Montreal coming of age story of ambitious scoundrel Duddy Kravitz, Canadian author Mordecai Richler's beloved anti-hero, will premiere as a brand new musical in the city where the story takes place.
