Opera Australia Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini, Australian theatre producer John Frost and leading UK theatre producer David Ian today announced that Australian icon, singer, songwriter and musical theatre star Tina Arena will play the role of Eva Peron in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA.

Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) presents the 16th annual River To River Festival, Downtown New York City's completely free summer arts festival, June 14-25. The 2017 edition presents an array of performances and events exploring and celebrating diversity in all its forms-often blurring the lines between genres including dance, music, theater and the visual arts-over the course of 100+ performances and events spanning 17 projects at 31 unique sites across Lower Manhattan and Governors Island. On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Pier 60, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) will hold its annual gala celebrating outstanding individuals in the arts and design fields. For 20 years, the MAD Ball has recognized visionaries in the worlds of business, arts, philanthropy, and creativity, reflecting MAD's mission to celebrate innovation and excellence across all creative disciplines. This year's Visionaries! Awards will honor design advocate, patron, and longtime MAD Trustee Charles S. Cohen; the late architect Zaha Hadid; Italian design innovator MISSONI; and conceptual artist Yinka Shonibare. Hosted by Simon Doonan, the 2016 event will bring together 500 guests, including art patrons, artists, designers, and noted corporate and civic leaders, and will introduce the Museum's new Nanette L.
