Get Your Tonys Pre-Game on at NOT MY PRESIDENT to Benefit National Center for Trans Equality

Not My President, a monthly show of resistance, began back in February.

Ro Fino began this series after returning home from the Women's March in DC with a feeling she had to do more than just rally.

Each concert raises money for a different cause. So far this year, her shows have benefited Planned Parenthood, The ACLU, CAIR-NY, Border Angels, and the Immigration Defense Project. Every dollar of the ticket price each month goes toward the chosen organization.

The profits from June's concert will go to:
The National Center for Transgender Equality, described as "the nation's leading social justice advocacy organization winning life-saving change for transgender people."

In February, Time magazine quoted a representative from the HRC, reporting that the justice department under Trump's administration is no longer pursuing cases on behalf of trans people. No Federal Law currently protects trans people from discrimination in terms of employment or housing. As districts all over the country take cases to federal courts in an effort to restrict access to the bathrooms that correspond with their gender identities, trans people need advocates fighting these battles every day.

So, join us in saying "F*CK THE CIS-TEM," as we play music and drink together.
