Primary Stages and Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Project (William Carden, Artistic Director; Paul Slee, Executive Director; Doron Weber, Sloan Foundation Vice President of Programs), announce casting for Informed Consent, a New York City premiere by Deborah Zoe Laufer (End Days, Leveling Up)and directed by Obie winner Liesl Tommy (Appropriate, The Good Negro).  The limited engagement runs August 4 - September 13, 2015 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a New 42nd Street project.  Opening night is Tuesday, August 18 at 7PM.

Masterworks Theater Company's The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams,  directed by Christopher Scott, begins performance tonight. At the end, the audience for this show is pulled not merely into the studio but into Bedford Falls, as the stage snow falls not only on the characters in the story set there but on the performers in the studio and on the audience as well. It is a perfectly magical double fourth-wall violation. Indeed, to state what must already be obvious, this whole show is perfectly magical.

The 7th annual Origin's 1st Irish Festival handed out its jury-voted honors at an awards ceremony at Papillon Bistro and Bar, 22 East 54th Street, on Monday night. Edging out the competition were 'The McGowan Trilogy,' produced by the cell, which grabbed three awards (including best actress, best director and best design), and the Irish Repertory Theatre's 'Port Authority,' which garnered two top prizes -- for best actor and best production.
