Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts announces the 25th Annual Summer Gala, celebrating Bay Street's Silver Anniversary, totake place in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 9, 2016 benefiting Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. The evening will include a special performance of scenes from productions from the past 25 years, as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, Live 'Fantasy Auction,' dinner and dancing.

His family traveled to Indianapolis twice a year for a big family cookout, and he'd watch his cousin, Odell Rhodes, jam in the living room with Wes Montgomery, who, unbeknownst to 8-year-old Caesar, would come to be regarded as one of America's most seminal jazz guitarists.

Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research raised $3.6 million and counting for blood cancer research at its annual fundraiser, the Angel Ball, Monday night at Cipriani Wall Street. This black-tie benefit, hosted by Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich and her daughters Daniella Rich and Ilona Rich Schachter, honored the work of Heidi Klum; Amy and Brian France, Chairman and CEO of NASCAR, Founders, The Luke and Meadow Foundation; Mary Kitchen and Jon Orszag, Co-Founder of Compass Lexecon, Co-Directors of The Orszag Foundation. Pop rock sensation OneRepublic, legendary vocalist Patti LaBelle and Tony and Grammy Award-winner Billy Porter performed throughout the evening.

TBS is giving longtime Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee her own show. Hot on the heels of announcing a new scripted comedy series created and executive produced by Bee and her husband, Jason Jones, TBS is cementing its relationship with the prolific couple even further. The new show, which is in the early stages of development, is being planned as a platform for Bee to apply her smart and satirical point of view to current and relevant issues. In addition to hosting, Bee will serve as executive producer on the show, along with Jones. The series is being produced by TBS.

Yesterday Julianne Moore hosted an afternoon tea in honor of Tony nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson, currently starring as Lena Younger in A RAISIN IN THE SUN. Held at Lady Mendl's at the Inn at Irving Place, an impressive group of women from theatre, film and television, including LaTanya's fellow Tony nominated costars Sophie Okonedo and Anika Noni Rose, gathered to salute LaTanya. Although she was unable to attend, First Lady Michelle Obama did send a note which was read aloud by Julianne Moore after Ms. Moore made a toast to LaTanya. Samuel L. Jackson and Bart Freundlich crashed the party to enjoy the afternoon with their wives.
