Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts announces the 25th Annual Summer Gala, celebrating Bay Street's Silver Anniversary, totake place in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 9, 2016 benefiting Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. The evening will include a special performance of scenes from productions from the past 25 years, as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, Live 'Fantasy Auction,' dinner and dancing.

Growing up on the south side of Chicago, Caesar thought playing the guitar was his life's calling. His family traveled to Indianapolis twice a year for a big family cookout, and he'd watch his cousin, Odell Rhodes, jam in the living room with Wes Montgomery, who, unbeknownst to 8-year-old Caesar, would come to be regarded as one of America's most seminal jazz guitarists.

Tony, Grammy, and Emmy nominated singer/actress Vanessa Williams has signed on to play the lead role in VH1's upcoming scripted series inspired by Star Jones 2011 book 'Satan's Sisters: A Novel of Fiction.'

Hilary Swank and Edie Falco were honored last night at the 18th-Annual ASPCA Bergh Ball held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. TBS is giving longtime Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee her own show. Hot on the heels of announcing a new scripted comedy series created and executive produced by Bee and her husband, Jason Jones, TBS is cementing its relationship with the prolific couple even further. The new show, which is in the early stages of development, is being planned as a platform for Bee to apply her smart and satirical point of view to current and relevant issues. In addition to hosting, Bee will serve as executive producer on the show, along with Jones. The series is being produced by TBS.

The former co-host of "The View" Joy Behar brings two nights of standup comedy to Fairfield Theatre Company's StageOne at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 and Sunday, Sept. 28.

The chairs of the event are longstanding patrons of the theater and the arts, Christine Wachter-Campbell & Bill Campbell, and Pia & Jimmy Zankel.

Controversial THE VIEW host Star Jones, who abruptly left the ABC chatfest in 2006 after a 9-year hosting stint, may serve as a co-host on today's show, filling the seat vacated by Barbara Walters.

Yesterday Julianne Moore hosted an afternoon tea in honor of Tony nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson, currently starring as Lena Younger in A RAISIN IN THE SUN. Held at Lady Mendl's at the Inn at Irving Place, an impressive group of women from theatre, film and television, including LaTanya's fellow Tony nominated costars Sophie Okonedo and Anika Noni Rose, gathered to salute LaTanya. Although she was unable to attend, First Lady Michelle Obama did send a note which was read aloud by Julianne Moore after Ms. Moore made a toast to LaTanya. Samuel L. Jackson and Bart Freundlich crashed the party to enjoy the afternoon with their wives.
