On Friday May 16, 2014, after over 3,811 shows, Barbara Walters signed off from “The View” in high fashion, drawing 5.2 million Total Viewers, ranking as the series' #4 telecast in its 17 year history. The telecast also generated its best ratings in over a year-and-a-half in Women 18-49 (818,000/1.3 rating) and Women 25-54 (1.0 million/1.6 rating) – since November 7, 2012.

Bay Street Theatre is pleased to announce that its 23rd Annual Summer Gala will take place in Sag Harbor at the Long Wharf on July 12, 2014 to benefit Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. The chairs of the event are longstanding patrons of the theater and the arts, Christine Wachter-Campbell & Bill Campbell, and Pia & Jimmy Zankel.

For the first time in television history, all 11 co-hosts of ABC's 'The View,' present and past, will share the same stage, live, TODAY, MAY 15 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) on ABC to celebrate the show's creator Barbara Walters.

Beginning MONDAY, MAY 12, (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) after 17 incredible seasons, 3,811 shows and 10 different female panelists, Barbara Walters says farewell to live daily television with her final co-host appearance on “The View,” the daytime program she created for ABC. Behind-the-scenes, Walters' will continue to be an active part of “The View” in her role as executive producer along with executive producer Bill Geddie, her producing partner of more than 25 years.

Theatrical singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer and DJ, Kenyon Phillips announced today that writer/blogger Michael Musto, writer/performer David Cale, and actor/singer and drag performer Flotilla DeBarge (HBO's Angels in America) will join the cast of the world premiere performance of The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips. Musto will play the role of Kenyon's therapist, Cale a reporter, and Flotilla will portray Kenyon's ex-girlfriend, Gina. The three join previously announced Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent, Anna in the Tropics).

American Ballet Theatre (ABT) held its annual Opening Night Fall Gala benefit last night at the David H. Koch Theatre, hosting over 700 patrons, sponsors, supporters, friends, alumni and members of the Board of Trustees. ABT's inaugural season at the David H. Koch Theatre marks the Company's first return to the venue since 1976. The gala, which serves as the opening of ABT's fall season at the Koch Theatre, raised $1.65 million dollars and a portion of the proceeds will support ABT's education and community outreach programs.

Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research hosted its signature fundraiser, the Angel Ball, on Tuesday, October 29th at Cipriani Wall Street. The black-tie benefit, hosted by Grammy-nominated song writer Denise Rich featured a cocktail reception, dinner, live musical performances, a paddle raise and both live and online auctions raising nearly $3 million for the Foundation's research initiatives. This year's gala honored three individuals for their outstanding philanthropic contributions to cancer research. Supermodel Karolina Kurkova presented Simon de Pury, Chairman, de Pury de Pury with an award for his dedication to raising much needed funds for cancer research. Hugh Jackman along with his wife Deborra-lee Furness honored Deborra-lee's mother, Fay Duncan, President of the Fight Cancer Foundation in Australia and Ethan Zohn took the stage to talk about how research and the work of Clay B. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the education and outreach programs of the American Theatre Wing, which include SpringboardNYC, the Theatre Intern Group, the National Theatre Company Grants and the Jonathan Larson Grants, and will also support free access for students, aspiring professionals, and the general public to programming on AmericanTheatreWing.org, including the long running television show "Working in the Theatre."
