Musical Theatre West is honored to present a benefit 'First Look' screening
of Forever Plaid, the Movie, starring original 'Plaids' Stan Chandler,
David Engel and Larry Raben, as well as Daniel Reichard, best known as the
star of the Broadway production of Jersey Boys. The event will take place
on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long
Beach and will feature a screening of the film proceeded by dinner onstage
at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center with the cast, a question and answer
session following the screening with cast members and production staff
including Forever Plaid creator Stuart Ross, and a dessert reception to
cap off the evening.
It was an an eclectic crowd that gathered on a sound stage of Sunset's CBS Studios to watch a live performance of FOREVER PLAID as it was being taped for pending movie release.
Audiences can be sure of one thing, they are certain to leave The Andrews Brothers uplifted and tapping their feet to plenty of rich nostalgia filling the theatre, as the show comes off as cheery as a MGM musical...
