Mark William, two time BroadwayWorld Cabaret winner and current MAC nominee for best male debut, returned triumphantly to The Green Room 42 for his sixth engagement and literally blew the roof off the place.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) has announced the 2020 MAC Award nominees. The nominees were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership, except for the four song and recording categories, which were determined by special committees.

Two prolific writers who put the a?oeGreata?? in a?oeThe Great American Songbooka?? were celebrated and explored in the same week at Manhattan's 92nd Street Y. In different presentations, there were embraces of the legacies of lyricist E.Y. (a?oeYipa??) Harburg and composer/lyricist Cole Porter.

Broadway veteran Elizabeth Ward Land (AMAZING GRACE, MEMPHIS, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL) warmed up The Green Room 42 with her lush vocals in her acclaimed show STILL WITHIN THE SOUND OF MY VOICE: THE SONGS OF LINDA RONSTADT for three performances mid-January.

It's been a constant stream of theater and cabaret personalities flocking to see Tom Wopat at the Beach Cafe for the past 5 Wednesdays and his concluding night was no different. Enjoying the final show of the series were Michele Lee, Marilyn Maye, Linda Purl, Stacy Sullivan, Deborah Grace Winer, Jamie deRoy and Ken Fallin among others at the intimate East Side supper club. Tom will be returning to the club for a pre New Years Eve show.

This is the 12th year Sullivan has held a celebration of artists born in a 20th century year, 100 years after their birth; many of the songs were originally composed by Ervin Drake, though the show also hosted tributes to Liberace, Nat King Cole, and Tennessee Ernie Ford.

On Nov. 13 and 14 at 7 p.m., Stacy Sullivan returns to the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in a portrait of the gifted singer-songwriter's life and music. The performance is part of the theater's Cabaret Series where patrons are seated directly on the Carpenter Center stage for an up-close cabaret experience.
