As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.

The nominees for the 23rd Annual MAC Awards have been announced, honoring excellence in New York City cabaret, comedy and jazz.

The superstars are staying in alignment when Barb Jungr and Marilyn Maye return to the Metropolitan Room to reprise two of the most well-received shows in recent memory - Jungr's 'I Got Life' and Maye's 'Love on the Rocks.' Both ladies, who appeared in overlapping sold-out engagements during an exciting two-week span in September, are featured at this year's Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center. They will supplement their appearances there with late-night encores of their two recent Metropolitan Room acts.

Andrea Marcovicci returns to 'Lyrics & Lyricists'™ with an evening of gems from the post-1965 repertoire to refute the notion that rock 'n' roll killed the art of songwriting. At the final 'Lyrics & Lyricists' of the 2009 season - Did the American Songbook Really End in 1965?

Brent Barrett, Diana Canova, Tyne Daly, and David Garrison are all set as guest artists for 'Life Is a Cabaret: A Tribute to Fred Ebb,' to be presented as part of the 92nd Street Y's Lyrics and Lyricists series running February 23-25. Rob Fisher will be the guest artistic and musical director for the evening, which will salute Ebb, the lyricist of such shows as Cabaret, Chicago, Zorba!, and Kiss of the Spider Woman.

The Metropolitan Room has announced its March schedule of cabaret performers.

In Good Company, a concert based on Lee Lessack's CD of romantic duets, will feature a slew of cabaret stars on July 10th; the concert will raise money for tsunami victims
