The Mother is a powerful, narrative dance production choreographed and directed by master storyteller Arthur Pita which has its London premiere at the Southbank Centre Queen Elizabeth Hall in June. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's dark tale, The Story of a Mother, this sumptuously designed production stars international dance superstar Natalia Osipova and award-winning contemporary dancer Jonathan Goddard.
Hackney Showroom Announces Edinburgh Festival Fringe Run And European and UK Tour Of Travis Alabanza's BURGERZ

Hackney Showroom today announces Edinburgh Festival Fringe run and tour of Travis Alabanza's Burgerz. Following a run at Hebbel am Ufer, Berin in June, the production, directed by Sam Curtis Lindsay, opens at Traverse Theatre on 2 August, with previews from 1 August and runs until 25 August, and will be part of the British Council Showcase 2019. Following this it will embark on a UK tour visiting Newcastle, Glasgow, Warwick, Birmingham, Bristol and London with further dates to be announced.
State Theatre New Jersey Announces 2019-20 Classical Series

State Theatre New Jersey has unveiled its 2019-20 Classical Series, featuring five amazing acts. Tickets for the Classical Series are on sale now only via phone and walk-up as part of the State Theatre's Buy More Save More program. One Day Only Encore Performances Of CLOUD SOUP Announced

Due to popular demand, on Sunday April 28 the Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre will present two encore performances of CLOUD SOUP by acclaimed physical theatre artist Wolfe Bowart. The theatre's Artistic Director Bryan Falcon invited Bowart to return to the Scoundrel & Scamp's mainstage following his sold-out season in January. Cloud Soup became the first production in the theatre's short history to sell out. Bowart will perform the additional shows in Tucson before premiering Cloud Soup in Australia later in the Summer. State Theatre New Jersey presents The Man Who Planted Trees on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 12:30pm and 3pm. The 3pm show is an Autism Friendly Relaxed Performance. State Theatre New Jersey's Autism-Friendly Relaxed Performances allow families with children on the autism spectrum or with other sensory sensitivities to enjoy high quality live entertainment in a safe, welcoming, sensory-friendly environment. The Big House today announces the return of Bullet Tongue Reloaded a promenade piece at the new home of The Big House in Islington. Written by Andrew Day and Sonya Hale, the production tackles the topic of County Lines and was developed with a young cast many of whom are directly affected by this issue. The production opens on 24 May, with previews from 22 May and runs until 15 June.

Carnegie Hall today announced that pianist Murray Perahia must regretfully withdraw from his upcoming recital scheduled for Friday, May 10 at 8:00 p.m.in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage due to medical reasons. Pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii has agreed to step in for Mr. Perahia, performing works by Satie, Debussy, Ravel, and Chopin.

Carlos Miguel Prieto, Musical America's 2019 Conductor of the Year, will return to the United Kingdom for the second time this season to conduct the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain's (NYOGB) spring concert tour, in April 2019. Prieto will lead three performances - in London, Liverpool, and Birmingham - of a program dedicated to works by Mexican and American composers. These performances mark Prieto's first return appearance with the NYOGB, following his debut with the Orchestra in April 2017.
