World-class drummer and percussionist Sheila Escovedo is scheduled to release her first solo album in twelve years, Icon, on March 25 as part of the celebration of her 40th anniversary in the music business, it was announced today by Manager Gilbert Davison. 'We are excited about the release, particularly of the multi-genre format that reflects Sheila E.'s broad artistry and experience,' Davison expresses.

Stageworks Theatre announced today that it has been honored as one of the recipients for this year's ICWP 50/50 Applause Awards, which sets out to recognize theatres which produce 50% or more women playwrights in their season of shows. In the spring, members of ICWP nominated theatres that were producing the work of women playwrights throughout the world.
