BWW Interview: Cameron Watson Having A Simply WONDERFUL LIFE Directing Theatre

The always in-demand Cameron Watson, a stalwart of the Los Angeles theatre community, will next be helming the holiday production of IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY at the Pasadena Playhouse for a brief run December 12 to 23. Cameron managed to find some time between his many creative responsibilities to answer a few of my inquisitive inquiries.

Off Square Theatre Company will present the regional premiere production of Annapurna by Broadway playwright Sharr White, November 1-3 and 8-10 in the Black Box Theater at the Center for the Arts. Directed by Allison Watrous, the show stars Kate Gleason and Mark Rubald.

Callaway Awards, and Breakout Award. The awards will be presented at an invitation? only event on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Manhattan.

The New Group Finalizes Lease for New Administrative Offices

ATCO Properties & Management, one of Manhattan's preeminent owner/operators of Class-A commercial real estate, announced today that it has finalized a five-year lease for contemporary theater organization The New Group's administrative offices at 240 West 35th Street, an 18-story, 165,000 square-foot building in the Garment District. Productions in The New Group's 2018-19 season take place at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).

Sharr White's THE OTHER PLACE Extends Through 10/28

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is excited to announce that Sharr White's The Other Place will be adding performances on Friday, October 26 at 8pm; Saturday, October 27 at 3pm and 8pm; and Sunday, October 28 at 3pm. Performances will take place at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Fyda-Mar Stage.

It's Official! Dove Cameron Will Star In A Musical Adaptation of CLUELESS at The New Group; Full Cast Announced!

The New Group has just announced complete casting and the design team for Clueless, The Musical by Amy Heckerling.  This world premiere production, with choreography by Kelly Devine, directed by Kristin Hanggi, features Ephie Aardema, Lori Alan, Sara Andreas, Gilbert L. Bailey II, Dove Cameron, Will Connolly, Danielle Marie Gonzalez, Tessa Grady, Talya Groves, Chris Hoch, L'ogan J'ones, Darius Jordan Lee, Justin Mortelliti, Brett Thiele, Dave Thomas Brown and Zurin Villanueva; with Scenic Design by Beowulf Boritt; Costume Design by Amy Clark; Lighting Design by Jason Lyons; Sound Design by Gareth Owen; Projection Design by Darrel Maloney; Music Supervision, Arrangement and Orchestration by Ethan Popp and Music Direction by Matthew Smedal.  Previews begin November 20 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Tuesday, December 11.  A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through January 12 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

For its stirring Orange County Premiere production currently on stage at Chance Theater in Anaheim through October 21, Juliana is played with powerful, intense ferocity by Jacqueline Wright, in what will surely be noted as one of the season's most memorable dramatic performances you will long remember this year.

BWW Review: THE OTHER PLACE, Park Theatre

Following a successful off-Broadway and Broadway run in 2011 and 2013 respectively, and Tony Award nominations, Sharr White's The Other Place has transferred to London's Park Theatre for its UK Premiere.
