The GRAMMY Award-winning National Children's Chorus (NCC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Luke McEndarfer and Associate Artistic Director Dr. Pamela Blackstone, will present 'Voices of Action, Creating a World of Belonging,' the organization's solo debut concert at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on Saturday, May 6 at 3pm.

Audible Theater's production of Michael Cruz Kayne's self-authored show Sorry For Your Loss, directed by Josh Sharp, begins previews tonight, Friday, April 28, at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, between MacDougal & 6th Avenue – one block south of W. 3rd Street), Audible's creative home for live performances in New York.

Trinity Repertory Company concludes its 2022-23 Season with the award-winning musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler. Directed by Curt Columbus, Sweeney Todd runs at Trinity Rep in the Dowling Theater from May 25 through June 25, 2023.

The 2023 Tribeca Festival, presented by OKX, has announced its audio storytelling lineup, including 18 world premieres from independent and established narrative audio creators and 11 “Live-from-Tribeca” events. This year’s Festival, which takes place June 7-18, will highlight its audio storytelling selection.

PJ Harvey has released a new song and video, “A Child’s Question, August,” with the announcement of her tenth studio album, I Inside the Old Year Dying. The album is produced by long-time collaborators Flood and John Parish. The song release comes with a video, directed by Steve Gullick.

The Outer Critics Circle has announced the nominees for the 72nd Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards, honoring the 2022-2023 Broadway and Off-Broadway season. Leading the pack with the most honors of the season is the Broadway musical New York, New York, with twelve nominations. Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation has announced the recipient and five finalists for the 2023 Barbara Whitman Award. Established by theatrical producer Barbara Whitman in 2021, the award recognizes a female, trans, or non-binary early-career director who has demonstrated a unique vision in their work with an unrestricted $10,000 cash prize.

City Theatre has announced the 2023 Momentum Festival: New Plays at Different Stages (Momentum '23). To be held in-person on its South Side campus from May 18 – 21, 2023, the festival features public readings of three new plays in progress as well as a documentary featuring City Theatre.
