The Muny announced its full cast, design and production teams for the Muny Premiere of The Color Purple, August 3 – 9, 2022.   Joining the previously announced principal cast of Tracee Beazer (Shug Avery), Nasia Thomas (Nettie), Evan Tyrone Martin (Mister), Gilbert Domally (Harpo) and Nicole Michelle Haskins (Sofia) is Anastacia McCleskey (Celie).

Award-winning Porchlight Music Theatre returns to live performances and the launch of its 27th Mainstage season with Pump Boys & Dinettes, now playing through December 12 at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N.

After the long pandemic hiatus, Porchlight Music Theatre returns to in-person productions with a feel-good staging of PUMP BOYS & DINETTES. It’s clear that Artistic Director Michael Weber knew that audiences would be craving some classic, lighthearted musical theater sentiment after such a long time away. He was wise to program director Daryl Brooks’s production of this 1983 show as a welcome back.

The cast will be led by Felicia P. Fields as one of three actors who will play Miss Celie. Joining Fields are Simon-Anthony Rhoden as Mister, Hope Mkhway as Young Celie, Joanna Francis as Miss Celie, Allison Semmes as Nettie, Melody A. Betts as Sofia, Alexis J. Roston as Shug Avery, Peyton Rowe as Squeak, Kristen Lowe as Doris, and more.
