Two-time Obie Award-winner Lisa Peterson directs a stunning show that stars Henry Woronicz, who masterfully captures the grief and glory of the battle for Troy.

Today, October 11, National Theatre Live will broadcast a live performance of The Last of the Haussmans, a new play by Stephen Beresford and directed by Howard Davies. The broadcasts will be shown at cinemas throughout North America with many encore dates available. National Theatre Live's fourth season continues with The Last of the Haussmans, directed by Howard Davies. Steven Beresford's acclaimed new play is a funny, touching and sometimes savage portrait of a family that's losing its grip. The cast includes includes Julie Walters, Rory Kinnear and Helen McCrory. The darkly comic drama is completely sold out at the National Theatre.

Olney Theatre Center Announces CINDERELLA Cast

Olney Theatre Center, the award-winning, year-round arts and entertainment destination, announces the cast of their upcoming production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical Cinderella. With memorable songs such as "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible," and "Ten Minutes Ago" Cinderella runs on Olney Theatre Center's Mainstage from November 14 to December 30, 2012.

Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with American Repertory Theater, presents the world premiere of Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi, directed by Rebecca Taichman. Marie Antoinette will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) October 26 through November 17. Opening Night is Thursday, November 1. The cast includes Fred Arsenault, Hannah Cabell, David Greenspan, Marin Ireland, Vin Knight, Jo Lampert, Polly Lee, Steven Rattazzi, Jake Silbermann, Teale Sperling, Brian Wiles, and Ashton Woerz.

STC Presents THE STRANGE UNDOING OF PRUDENCIA HART, 11/14-12/9

On the heels of the successful Black Watch, the Shakespeare Theatre Company will bring a second production from the National Theatre of Scotland to D.C. audiences. Acclaimed Scottish playwright David Greig's The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart will play from November 14-December 9, 2012. For the first time in STC's history, the play will be staged outside of a traditional theatre and will be performed in DuPont Circle's Bier Baron Tavern (1523 22nd Street NW).

Andrew Damer to Join Allied Live

Laura Matalon, President Allied Live, announced today that Andrew Damer will be joining the company's Touring Division as a Senior Marketing Director. In this role Damer will take a prominent role in the engagement management of various touring properties including Billy Elliot the Musical, the upcoming tour of ELF and other accounts. Damer will be based in the Washington, DC office where he will also provide guidance and support to the agency's East Coast clients.

Astoria Performing Arts Center Presents BILLY WITCH, 11/1-17

THE ASTORIA PERFORMING ARTS CENTER (APAC) has announced the New York premiere production of Gregory S. Moss's (punkplay, House of Gold) BILLY WITCH, choreographed by Wendy Seyb (The Pee Wee Herman Show, Yeast Nation), with original music by Nathan A. Roberts, musical direction by Brenna Sage and directed by Erik Pearson (Billy Witch, Studio 42). BILLY WITCH will play a limited engagement at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (30-44 Crescent St, Astoria, NY. Entrance on 30th Road.) Performances begin Thursday, November 1 and continue through Saturday, November 17. Opening Night is Saturday, November 3 (8 p.m.).

STC Extends THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR Through 11/4

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award®, announces the extension of its lampooning production of The Government Inspector, written by Nikolai Gogol and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher. This side-splitting satire on small town political corruption, directed by STC's Artistic Director Michael Kahn, will now play through Sunday, November 4, 2012, at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW).

Theatre Communications Group Announces New Appointments to Board of Directors

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, announces new leadership of its board of directors and six new members. Lydia R. Diamond, playwright, and Diane Rodriguez, associate producer/director of new play production, Center Theatre Group, will assume the joint positions of vice president. They succeed James Bundy, artistic director, Yale Repertory Theatre and Rachel Kraft, executive director, Lookingglass Theatre Company. Philip Himberg, producing artistic director of the Sundance Institute Theatre Program, will continue to serve his term as board president. Roche Schulfer, executive director, Goodman Theatre will continue to serve as treasurer and Ralph Bryan, managing director, Bryan-Billauer-Kozo, Financial Strategies Group, Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC will succeed Olga Sanchez, artistic director, Miracle Theatre Group, as secretary.

STC Names Emery Battis Award Honorees: Carson Elrod and Steven Epp

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) congratulates this year's winners of the Emery Battis Acting Award, Carson Elrod and Steven Epp. Since 2010, STC has recognized two actors per season who have demonstrated exceptional skill and technique on the stage. Elrod and Epp were lauded for their incredible performances as Crispin in The Heir Apparent and Truffaldino in The Servant of Two Masters, respectively. The award was presented September 24 at the opening night dinner for STC's first 2012-2013 production, The Government Inspector, hosted by the Board of Trustees.
