Rob Campbell, Lisa Joyce, and More to Star in Transport Group's HOUSE FOR SALE, 10/13-11/18

Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, will present the world premiere of House for Sale by Jonathan Franzen, adapted for the stage and directed by Daniel Fish, beginning previews October 13, 2012 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. The opening night is scheduled for October 21, 2012. House for Sale is scheduled to run through November 18, 2012.

Olney Theatre Center to Present OVER THE TAVERN, 9/26-10/21

Everyman Theatre Presents TIME STANDS STILL, Now thru 10/7

Everyman Theatre's 22nd season opener, Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, is one of the final two shows that will be produced at Everyman's Charles Street home this Fall. In January, 2013, Everyman Theatre will be making an historic move to its brand new theatre located downtown on Fayette Street. Critically acclaimed in New York, Time Stands Still was nominated for a Tony for Best Play in 2010. Everyman Theatre's production marks its Baltimore premiere.

Harry Groener, Sally Wingert and More Set for CHRISTOPHER HAMPTON CELEBRATION at Guthrie Theatre, 9/15-10/27

The Guthrie Theater today announced the full casts, comprising 39 actors, for the three plays of the Christopher Hampton Celebration. The previously announced celebration of the multi-faceted writer's work will occupy all three of the Guthrie's stages in an immersive and illuminating theatrical experience, with diverse casts tackling dynamic roles torn from the pages of world history.

Reading of Dustin Lance Black's '8' Held at Alley Theatre, 9/10

A one-night-only reading of 8 will be performed on the Alley Theatre's Neuhaus Stage, with license from the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER) and Broadway Impact. Academy Award-winning screenwriter and AFER Founding Board Member Dustin Lance Black's play chronicles the historic trial in the federal constitutional challenge to California's Proposition 8. The reading will be Monday, September 10 at 7:30 PM.

George Street Playhouse to Present VENUS IN FUR, 4/23-5/18, 2013

George Street Playhouse has announced that VENUS IN FUR by David Ives will complete the line-up for the 2012-13 season. The theatre's spring production, which had previously been unannounced, will run from April 23 through May 18. Opening Night will be on Friday, April 26.

The Colony Theatre presents the second production of its "Season of Premieres" with the West Coast Premiere Premiere of BLAME IT ON BECKETT, written by John Morogiello and directed by Andrew Barnicle. BLAME IT ON BECKETT opens tonight, Saturday, August 11 at 8:00pm and continues through Sunday, September 2 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company, recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award®, is proud to announce the return of Black Watch, the critically acclaimed production depicting war from the perspectives of soldiers in Iraq. After a sold-out run at Sidney Harman Hall in 2011, this world-renowned piece from the National Theatre of Scotland makes landfall with STC before continuing on its U.S. tour. Written by Gregory Burke and directed by Tony Award winner John Tiffany (Once), Black Watch deploys its audience into the hostile environments faced by soldiers, both internal and external.Black Watch will run from September 19-October 7, 2012, at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW).

National Theatre Live to Broadcast THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, Beg. Sept 6

National Theatre Live begins its fourth season with The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time based on Mark Haddon's beloved and award winning novel, adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens. Marianne Elliott (War Horse) directs this richly theatrical exploration of Haddon's touching and bleakly humorous story. The production will be broadcast throughout the US, beginning September 6, 2012.

Patrick Page played his final performance as 'The Green Goblin' in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark yesterday, August 5. Broadway star Robert Cuccioli, best known for his Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle winning and Tony-nominated performance as the star of Jekyll and Hyde, will take on the role in his long-anticipated return to Broadway. Cuccioli will play his first performance on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street). On Saturday night, the cast of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark gathered at the Aspen Social Club to say farewell to Page. Check out photos from the gathering below!
