Broadway Meets Sketch Comedy At SHIZ
by Julie Musbach
- Aug 27, 2018
FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents SHIZ on Friday September 14th at 11:30 PM. Your favorite musical theater characters find themselves smack in the middle of sketches in this Broadway-meets-comedy mash-up show, written by UCB and The PIT's finest and featuring actors from the casts of Fun Home, Great Comet, Newsies and more. Imagine if the Tonys were hijacked by SNL. SHIZ gives classic moments from musicals an irreverent mind of their own. Watch Elphaba and Javert get thrown unexpected curveballs and belt their way out. SHIZ is a love letter to Broadway with a few notes scribbled in the margins. No parody lyrics, only parody riffs.
