Kyle Riabko Brings the Music of BACHARACH, RICHARD RODGERS & MORE to Joe's Pub

Kyle Riabko will return to Joe's Pub at The Public on Saturday, April 13 at 7:00 PM in a solo concert bringing his groundbreaking interpretations of both Burt Bacharach and Richard Rodgers, together for the first time with selections from the Broadway shows he starred in - Spring Awakening andHair - in addition to his original music.

Accompanying himself on guitar, Riabko will perform his celebrated versions of many of the Burt Bacharach classics that were included in his hit West End show Close to You: Bacharach Reimagined and its earlier acclaimed Off Broadway version, What's It All About? Bacharach Reimagined, and that were featured on Close to You: The Original London Cast Album available on Ghostlight Records. Riabko was inspired to take on the Richard Rodgers songbook after seeing a "fan letter" that Rodgers had written to Bacharach, and he will bring his unique pop/rock sensibility to many of the classics Rodgers wrote with both Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II. Riabko's album Richard Rodgers Reimagined was released by Ghostlight Records in 2017.

The Huffington Post wrote that Riabko brought such freshness to the music of Richard Rodgers that classics written 75 years ago sounded as if they "could have been written last Tuesday," while BroadwayWorld said that he gave the songs "fresh and vibrant life" and Playbill wrote, "You'll never hear Richard Rodgers' songs the same after Kyle Riabko's latest album."

The Bacharach Reimagined stage production was named "One of the Year's 10 Best" by The New York Times and received nominations for Drama Desk Awards, Outer Critics Circle Awards, and Lucille Lortel Awards for which Riabko was nominated as Best Actor in a Musical. London's Daily Telegraph said, "Kyle Riabko is Outrageously Talented," with The New York Times writing, "Riabko searches out the emotional layers of the songs with impressive precision," and New York Magazine called Riabko "a wonderfully appealing star."

Burt Bacharach himself said of Riabko, "Kyle has done something truly unique with my music. He's a beautiful singer and one hell of a guitar player."

Riabko began his career in his teen years performing as an opening act for such artists as BB King, James Brown, John Mayer, Keb Mo, Jason Mraz, and Maroon 5, among others, and recording an album of original music for Sony/Aware Records. He later appeared on Broadway in lead roles in both Spring Awakening and Hair.
