AMAZING GRACE Cast Will Reunite in November to Record Cast Album; Hits Shelves in January

The producers of Amazing Grace just announced that DMI Soundtracks will record the Broadway cast album of Amazing Grace on Monday, November 2nd. The album will be available in January, 2016. The recording will be produced and engineered by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti. The tracklist for the digital album and CD is as follows:

EMPANADA LOCA with Daphne Rubin-Vega to Offer Free Halloween Performance

Labyrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director Mimi O'Donnell, Executive Director Danny Feldman) presents a free, Halloween performance of Empanada Loca at 10pm on October 31. All tickets for this performance will be distributed via an online lottery system at labtheater.org. The lottery will open on October 26 at noon and will close at noon on October 30 at noon and winners will be contacted by 2pm.

Squabbalogic to Stage Sydney Premiere of GREY GARDENS

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Tour to Premiere at Hayes Theatre Co.

It has been announced today that cult musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors will next year embark on an Australian Tour. Starring Brent Hill and Esther Hannaford, the production will premiere at Hayes Theatre Co in Sydney in February 2016 followed by seasons in Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane.

Elsevier Releases Five New Neuroscience Books and Atlases

WALTHAM, MA - Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced the publication of five new neuroscience books and atlases, including MRI/DTI Atlas of the Rat Brain by George Paxinos, Charles Watson, Evan Calabrese, Alexandra Badea and G. Allan Johnson. The publications will be on display at the upcoming Society for Neuroscience's (SfN) annual meeting, Neuroscience 2015 at Elsevier booth #134, October 17-20.

BWW Review: CINDERELLA Enchants at Memphis Orpheum

CINDERELLA is the only Rodgers and Hammerstein musical that was originally written for television. Its first performance was broadcast live on CBS on March 31, 1957 as a vehicle for Julie Andrews, who played the title role. It was subsequently remade for television twice. The 1965 version starred Lesley Ann Warren, and the 1997 one starred Brandy Norwood.

The new musical by Marshall Pailet (Claudio Quest, Triassic Parq) and A.D. Penedo (The Three Times She Knocked), WHO'S YOUR BAGHDADDY? OR HOW I STARTED THE IRAQ WAR, opened on October 4. Directed by Marshall Pailet with musical direction by Rona Siddiqui and choreography by Misha Shields, WHO'S YOUR BAGHDADDY? OR HOW I STARTED THE IRAQ WAR is based on a screenplay by J.T. Allen and runs through November 22, 2015 at the Actors Temple Theater (339 W 47th St.). Broadway's WAITRESS songwriter Sara Bareilles stopped by to see the show, and you can check out a photo of her with the cast below!

AMAZING GRACE Enters Final Weeks of Broadway Performances

Amazing Grace, the new musical playing at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street), will play its final performance on Sunday, October 25. On that date, the show will have played 24 preview performances and 114 regular performances.

BWW Review: Sondra Radvanovsky Thrills in Met ANNA BOLENA

The Met came late to the trio of Donizetti operas about British queens, when it finally mounted ANNA BOLENA mounted for Anna Netrebko in 2011. This was long after Beverly Sills made her deal with the devil, trading her voice for the cover of Time Magazine, by singing Anne Boleyn, Mary Queen of Scots, and Elizabeth I at New York City Opera. The Met is finally getting around to mounting its own take on the operas this season (the so-called Tudor Trilogy) not for Netrebko but for American Sondra Radvanovsky. As Anna, she delivers a thrilling, go-for-broke performance.
