One of the longest running off-Broadway shows of all time, Little Shop of Horrors comes to the White Theatre stage at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, "The J."

This affectionate spoof of 1950's sci-fi movies became a household name, thanks to the highly successful film version. Down-and-out skid row floral assistant Seymour Krelborn becomes and overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood! It isn't long before "Audrey II" has grown from a harmless shrub into an ill-tempered, R & B-singing carnivore who promises Seymour fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite. Hilariously funny and tuneful, ,with tongue firmly planted in cheek, Little Shop of Horrorsis a musical to savor.

Steven Eubank is directing the show. He previously directed Spamalot and Fiddler on the Roof at the White Theatre. "We've had a very positive and spirited time rehearsing the show! I've been waiting years to direct a production of Little Shop of Horrors. I'm so thrilled that it's with The J!" He added, "I think fans of Little Shop will be very satisfied with this production and our traditional approach... and I know that newcomers will be enchanted by our cast and their portrayal of these iconic characters."

The production is rated PG-13. For tickets, please contact "The J" box office at 913-327-8054, boxoffice@thejkc.org or thejkc.org. Cast members are available for a preview of this highly anticipated production!
