The Weston Playhouse Theatre is thrilled to present the five-time Tony Award-winning musical Fun Home to its new flexible 140-seat Second Stage, Weston Playhouse at Walker Farm. Refreshingly honest and wildly innovative, Fun Home is based on Vermont author and cartoonist Alison Bechdel's acclaimed graphic memoir. Audiences will follow Bechdel at three different life stages as she grows and grapples with her uniquely dysfunctional family, her sexuality, and her father's secrets.

Tony Award nominee DENIS ARNDT (Heisenberg) has joined the company of the Broadway production of Young Jean Lee's dark comedy, STRAIGHT WHITE MENdirected by Anna D. Shapiro. Mr. Arndt will perform the role of Ed, replacing Tom Skerritt, who has departed the production for personal reasons.

Steve Budd, who returns to perform Thursdays and Saturdays July 19 - August 18 at The Marsh San Francisco, has added a special one-afternoon-only performance of his hit show What They Said About Love at 2pm, Sunday, August 12. He also announces a line-up of post-show events including visits from relationship and sex experts, astrologers, and more, who will help audiences explore whether love is in their stars, and how people really connect. For the second consecutive year, The Old Globe will participate in the George Stevens Senior Center's annual Juneteenth Celebration by presenting an original play developed in the coLAB workshop: Elizabeth Hobbs Keckley: From Slavery to Modiste. Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) is pleased to announce that David Henderson, a veteran community engagement, marketing, and communications specialist for the non-profit field, will become the new Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role, which starts June 18, 2018, Henderson will oversee marketing, communications, and public relations for the theatre. He joins MRT's senior leadership team and will work closely with Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas, who started in the fall, and Artistic Director Sean Daniels, beginning his fourth season at MRT.
