After extensive rewrites over the course of the year, LA's very own LaDarrion Williams will be bringing his new play, Coco Queens to the stage as a staged reading performance. It is to be directed by Jennifer Jones and is slated for a 2020 production!

Broadway's original Mark in a?oeRent,a?? Anthony Rapp, will present his solo show at Bucks County Playhouse on Saturday, September 21 at 8:00 pm. Rapp's appearance is part of the Playhouse's Visiting Artists Series.

Due to extremely strong ticket demand, Second Stage Theater will extend its acclaimed production of Bess Wohl's new play, MAKE BELIEVE, by one week, now running through Sunday, September 22nd.

This coming season, AMERICAN SCOREBOARD, a series of actor-performed, verbatim readings of actual U.S. Congressional hearing transcripts, will once again join forces with HB STUDIO to perform four readings featuring HB students and alumni.  The series will kick-off on Monday, September 16 at 7pm at the HB Playwrights Theatre (124 Bank Street) with a performance of testimony given on March 6, 2019 before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee on Protecting Dreamers and TPS (Temporary Protected Status) recipients.   Admission to the reading is free and reservations can be made at hbstudio.eventbrite.com.

Stage and screen actress Karen Pittman, who starred in the off-Broadway production of Pipeline, has joined the cast of Paramount Network's Yellowstone in a recurring role opposite Kevin Costner, according to Deadline.

California Shakespeare Theater closes its 2019 summer season with Macbeth by William Shakespeare and directed by Victor Malana Maog playing September 18 through October 13, 2019 at the Bruns Amphitheater. 

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of André Bishop, has announced it will produce a new musical during its 2019-2020 season. FLYING OVER SUNSET, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, will feature choreography by Michelle Dorrance, and will begin previews March 12, 2020 and open on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton and Tony Yazbeck will head the cast with additional casting to be announced at a later date.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, WAITRESS will end its Broadway run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020. When the show says goodbye to Broadway, it will have played 33 previews and 1544 performances.
