This June, the Martha Graham Dance Company's acclaimed second company will be back on stage for its 40th New York season with an exciting program of new works and Graham classics.

Capping an exciting run of hit performances, Sacramento Ballet will end its 2022-23 season at a technical pinnacle with the Emergence series, May 19-21, at The Sofia Theater in Sacramento. Performances will feature the breathtaking, influential neo-classical/modern collaborative ballet titled Agon by composer Igor Stravinsky and choreographer George Balanchine.

Dallas Black Dance Theatre (DBDT) is heading to North Macedonia to perform in the Skopje Dance Festival on April 12, 2023. DBDT will present a full performance of five works, including pieces choreographed by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Gregory Dolbashian, and My'Kal Stromile. This is the second time that Dallas Black Dance Theatre has traveled to North Macedonia.

Sacramento Ballet's Visions series (March 31 - April 2, 2023) brings a newly commissioned, world premiere by renowned choreographer Jermaine Maurice Spivey titled COURSE OF ACTION.

Ballet Hispánico, the nation's largest Latinx cultural organization and one of America's Cultural Treasures, returns to New York City Center after its critically and publicly acclaimed run of Doña Perón. From June 1-3, 2023, Ballet Hispánico will present a mixed bill curated by Artistic Director & CEO Eduardo Vilaro featuring repertory favorites, two new commissions and an exciting new addition to the repertory.

Baryshnikov Arts Center has announced the Spring 2023 season of dance, music, and multimedia performances. The season will feature the New York Premiere of AMOC (American Modern Opera Company)’s How to Fall Apart composed by Carolyn Chen, the World Premiere of Eunbi Kim’s music and new media work it feels like a dream and more.

Local students will be helping the Emmy nominated Nashville Ballet perform their annual production of Nashville's Nutcracker this December. Running at TPAC December 9–24, this beloved holiday event allows aspiring artists from School of Nashville Ballet, Rejoice School of Ballet, and the Hispanic Family Foundation the opportunity to perform alongside Nashville Ballet's professional company dancers. 

Fresh off its Emmy Award win for the televised adaptation, Nashville's Nutcracker will return to TPAC December 9–24, 2022.

Sacramento Ballet presents its treasured annual holiday celebration set to Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker with eight thrilling performances complete with live orchestra running from December 10-24, 2022.

The recently renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents Ailey II, the next generation of dance featuring a renowned ensemble of 12 rising stars on Thursday, November 10 at 8pm. Tickets range from $29-$49.   

Dallas Black Dance Theatre (DBDT) celebrates its 46th anniversary with works by internationally acclaimed choreographers and a DBDT-grown artist. The Director's Choice series features the classic works of Elisa Monte, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Tommie-Waheed Evans, and a world premiere by Dallas native My'Kal Stromile.

Ailey II, the next generation of dance, will embark on a 22-city United States tour October 7 - February 25 stretching from Miami, Florida to South Bend, Indiana to Tacoma, Washington. Following the tour, the renowned ensemble of 12 rising stars will return home for an annual New York season at The Ailey Citigroup Theater March 22 – April 2, 2023.

Nashville Ballet will open their 2022-23 season October 6–9 with Paul Vasterling's  Cinderella at TPAC's Polk Theater. A sold-out production during its last run in 2016, this fan-favorite ballet will feature the music of Sergei Prokofiev performed live by the Nashville Symphony, specially designed 18th century costumes and sets, and a youth cast comprised of students from School of Nashville Ballet, Rejoice School of Ballet, and the Hispanic Family Foundation.

Resonance Works' tenth anniversary season opens with a poignant contemporary American opera this October. Celebrated creator Cerise Lim Jacobs and composer Jorge Sosa produced I Am a Dreamer Who No Longer Dreams in response to the Trump administration's efforts to rescind the Deferred Action for Children Arrivals law (DACA, also known as the Dreamer Act) in 2019. The opera explores the complex journey of immigration through the eyes of its two lead characters.

Nashville Ballet has announced Artistic Director Paul Vasterling will retire at the end of the 2022–2023 season, concluding 33 years with the organization. As he is the longest-serving artistic director in Nashville Ballet history, the board of directors has voted to name him artistic director emeritus upon his retirement in recognition of his contributions.

Resonance Works will celebrate its tenth anniversary season with four powerful, intimate productions that showcase the depth and range of classical music performance, including two world premieres, orchestral favorites, awe-inspiring masterworks, and an evocative new opera. 

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen announces the 2022–2023 season roster. The roster includes a diverse roster of dancers from around the world with 63 professional dancers. Five new dancers join the main company, six new dancers join Boston Ballet II (BBII), Boston Ballet’s second company, and eight Boston Ballet dancers received promotions for the upcoming season.
