The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, announces the recipients of the twelfth annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition: Audrey Ipapo Baran, Joffrey Company Artist Edson Barbosa, Taylor Carrasco, and Derick McKoy.

Ailey II, the celebrated second company to Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, returns to its home, The Ailey Citigroup Theater, for a highly anticipated two-week season featuring 10 performances from March 23 - April 3.

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, is proud to present Boston Ballet: Mikko Nissinen, Lia Cirio, Shantell Martin, and Melissa Toogood on February 13, 2022 at 3 pm and 7:30 pm. Guggenheim Museum, all programs invite audiences to embrace artistic process and uniquely blend performance highlights with insightful artists discussions.

Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney today announced the company’s 2022-2023 season, which opens with the return of a beloved romantic classic, Giselle, continues with the world’s most adored fairy tale, Cinderella, and concludes with Bliss Point.

Taking place in the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Peter B. Lewis Theater at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, all programs invite audiences to embrace artistic process and uniquely blend performance highlights with insightful artists discussions.

Arthur Schnitzler’s classic tale of love and infidelity, ROUND DANCE, is coming to New York in a new translation from the German by H. Clark Kee, who also directs. ROUND DANCE begins performances on Thursday, March 10 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 27. 

The company is working with community partners to invite children to see a family friendly production each season. The goal is to bring  1,000 children to see a production. One performance ticket is distributed for every $50 tax-deductible donation.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen announced the appointment of Joan Boada as Associate Director of Boston Ballet II (BBII), the second company to Boston Ballet. Boada will join Boston Ballet in June 2022. 

Come From Away is coming to the Stranahan Theater in Toledo. This production is a part of the BROADWAY IS BACK IN TOLEDO SERIES and will take the stage for eight performances from January 4-9, 2022.

Kicking off the 2021-2022 Dance Performance Season at the UCSB Department of Theater and Dance and a return to live performance, KINETIC LAB 2021 will feature new works by BFA Dance Students.  Kinetic Lab is a creative process-focused choreography course for students to discover their individual compositional methods and unique artistic voices.

The producers and creative team are delighted to announce that in addition to the smash-hit West End production currently playing to packed houses at the newly refurbished Trafalgar Theatre, a second company of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS will head out on a new tour of the UK and Ireland.

Previous tour alumni Michael Pickering and Lewis Griffiths return as Frankie Valli and Nick Massi respectively, with Blair Gibson as Bob Gaudio and Dalton Wood as Tommy DeVito. Luke Suri will play Frankie Valli at certain performances.

COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its West Palm Beach debut at Kravis Center for a limited engagement November 16 - 21. COME FROM AWAY will go on sale October 2 at 10 am.

Acosta Danza, the company set up by international ballet star Carlos Acosta, returns with a new programme, 100% Cuban, following the cancellation of its tour in spring 2020.  NDT 2, the second company of Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), is back in the UK for the first time since 2016 with a triple bill by German, Dutch and Swedish choreographers.

Boston Ballet II and Boston Ballet School Post Graduate students will return to Stowe for a mini-residency featuring a variety of classes for all levels with Boston Ballet II Associate Director Peter Stark and a performance of A Suite from The Nutcracker at Spruce Peak Arts on Saturday, November 6 at 7 pm.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen announces the 2021–2022 season roster. After successfully employing the full Company of dancers during the 2020–2021 virtual season, this season a total of 63 dancers comprise the Company roster, with 51 in the main company and 12 in Boston Ballet II (BBII), Boston Ballet's second company. 

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University announced today the creative team and company of artists for the live premiere of Ayodele Casel: Chasing Magic. Tickets are on sale for The New York Times Critic's Pick featuring Casel and an ensemble of dancers and musicians and directed by Torya Beard.
