Celebration Theatre is thrilled to present the West Coast Premiere of a brand new musical, THE WOMEN OF BREWSTER PLACE - The Musical, with music, book and lyrics by Tim Acito (Zanna, Don't), choreography by Ameenah Kaplan (Altar Boyz, Frosty the Snow Manilow), musical direction by Greg Nabours (A New Brain), directed by Michael Matthews (Haram Iran, Beautiful Thing) and produced for Celebration Theatre by David Tarlow.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Set for Cabrillo Music Theatre, 4/23-5/2

A tuneful, funny musical score meets a giant man-eating plant when Cabrillo Music Theatre's production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS devours the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, with a hit movie and a Broadway revival to its credit, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS takes root on Friday, April 23rd, 2010, and blossoms until Sunday, May 2nd. Locally produced exclusively for Southern California audiences, performances take place at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, located at 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.

Cavenaugh Joins Baldwin, Davis in Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat May 2

Matt Cavenaugh joins Alec Baldwin and Daniel Davis in the New York Philharmonic Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat (A Soldier's Tale) Sunday, May 2, 2010 as part of The Russian Stravinsky: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev, which runs April 21 to May 8th at Avery Fisher Hall. Tickets for the concert are $29-$72. Pre-Concert Talks are $5. All tickets may be purchased online at nyphil.org or by calling (212) 875-5656.

On a secluded Greek island, an American ex-pat pursues his passions: winemaking and his breathtaking young wife. Then, on the eve of his first tasting, an old lover reappears bringing with her a wild and violent past. Circle X Theatre Co. presents the Debut Production of Lascivious Something by Sheila Callaghan. Paul Willis directs Alana Dietze, Olivia Henry, Silas Weir Mitchell and Alina Phelan in a six-week run .

BWW Interviews: Spotlight on AN ILIAD’s Hans Altwies

I met up with Hans in between his Matinee and Evening shows of "An Iliad" on Saturday. In the short time since he arrived here in 1993 to go to school at Cornish College of the Arts (where he graduated in 1996) this 39 year old from Detroit, Michigan has become one of the hot tickets in the Seattle theater scene. But beyond that, he's also a really great guy.

McReynolds, Scheck Set For Next Talkout Mondays At THE TEMPERAMENTALS 4/19

Seattle Repertory Theatre Closes Run of FENCES, April 18th

Seattle Repertory Theatre ends its run during the 25th anniversary of August Wilson's beloved story of baseball and family, Fences. The play is being staged in a number of notable productions across the country, including on Broadway this month. Seattle Rep's production will end its run April 18, 2010.

Capital Stage Presents HUNTER GATHERERS 5/14-6/27

Capital Stage continues as Sacramento's 'home of the premieres' with its presentation of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's hilarious and outrageous Hunter Gatherers. Libby Appel to Receive Legacy Award at Kennedy Center 4/16

Libby Appel, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director Emerita, will receive the Stephen and Christine Schwarzman Legacy Award for Excellence in Theater as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.
