IN A WORD Playwright Lauren Yee Wins the Kesselring Prize

Lauren Yee is this year's recipient of the National Arts Club's 2017 Kesselring Prize. The award, bestowed upon emerging playwrights since 1980, carries with it $25,000 and a two-week residency at the NationalArtsClub in order to develop new work.

Long Wharf Theatre presents World Premiere of FIREFLIES

NY Premiere of 'POLKADOTS' Musical Opens Tonight at the Altantic

Atlantic for Kids' 2017-2018 Season opens today, September 16, with the family musical Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, inspired by Ruby Bridges and the Little Rock Nine featuring music by Greg Borowsky and Douglas Lyons, lyrics and concept by Douglas Lyons, book by Melvin Tunstall III and direction by Tamilla Woodard.

Cast Set for All-Woman THE TAMING OF THE SHREW at Chicago Shakespeare

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) Artistic Director Barbara Gaines stages Shakespeare's raucous comedy The Taming of the Shrew with a powerhouse, all-woman cast-setting up a witty and thought-provoking debate on politics, power, and love. Framed as a performance by a band of Suffragettes with additional dialogue by Second City's Ron West, The Taming of the Shrew launches Chicago Shakespeare's 2017/18 Season in the Courtyard Theater, September 16-November 12, 2017.

Marsha Mason Directs Arizona Theatre Company's Season-Opening Performance CHAPTER TWO

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC; David Ivers, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) is pleased to welcome back four-time Academy Award-nominee Marsha Mason, who will direct Neil Simon's autobiographical romantic comedy Chapter Two to open ATC's 51st season, Oct. 5-22 at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E.
