The University of Washington School of Drama, under the leadership of Executive Director Todd London, is announcing several new faculty appointments.

Artistic Director Chris Coleman announced today that Cynthia Fuhrman has been named Managing Director at Portland Center Stage at The Armory, the city's largest professional theater company.

The International Centre for Women Playwrights has announced the 2017 recipients of the 50/50 Applause Awards, including three theaters from Chicago. Northlight Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater and Windy City Playhouse were among 58 international recipients honored for producing 50 percent or more plays by women playwrights during the 2016/17 season.
