This historic season will celebrate, honor, and build upon the School of Drama's deep connections to Seattle's theatre community and serve as a bridge between the School's rich history and its future.
The final night of The Mabel Mercer Foundation's New York Cabaret Convention was hosted by Klea Blackhurst. It featured the music of Marvin Hamlisch and Vernon Duke. Terri Blair the widow of Marvin was in the audience and was obviously touched by some thrilling performances of her husbands music. Check out photos from the event below!
The 7th Burbank International Film Festival, which will run September 9th through 13th, announced its full lineup today, including 100 films from 31 countries, 25 world premieres, 22 award categories, and opening and closing night screenings. The Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) is pleased to announce that it will join other professional theater organizations from across the country participating in the seventh annual presentation of "The Jimmy Awards", to be held in New York City on June 29th at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA), founded and produced by Nederlander Presentations, Inc. and Pittsburgh CLO, is a national celebration of outstanding student achievement that recognizes individual artistry in vocal, dance and acting performances by high school students. "The Jimmy Award" is named in honor of James M. Nederlander, legendary Broadway theater owner and producer.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. Tonight, December 19th, Broadway Sessions will celebrate the holidays with an all-star concert event. Paige Davis (Chicago, Boeing Boeing, TLC's Trading Spaces) is set to co-host the event.
