Mint Theater Company has announced that the acclaimed revival of A Day by the Sea by N.C. Hunter, will now continue through October 23rd at their new home at the Beckett Theater as a resident company at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues).

Specialists in introducing contemporary audiences to worthy, but neglected plays, The Mint Theater Company's new production will probably be a first introduction for many of its audience members to the work of N.C. Hunter.

Coming up next for Mint Theater Company will be the first ever New York revival of A Day by the Sea by N.C. Hunter, directed by Austin Pendleton. This will be the Mint's first production as a resident theater company at Theatre Row. Performances continue through September 24th at their new home at the Beckett Theater at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues). Opening Night is set for August 25th. The Mint Theater Company brings back a forgotten work from one of England's most popular 1950s playwrights.

Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy starred in the 1955 Broadway production of N.C. Hunter's forgotten drama.

Coming up next for Mint Theater Company (Jonathan Bank, Producing Artistic Director; Jen Soloway, Managing Director) will be the first ever New York revival of A Day by the Sea by N.C. Hunter, directed by Austin Pendleton. This will be the Mint's first production as a resident theater company at Theatre Row. Performances will begin July 22nd and continue through September 24th at their new home at the Beckett Theater at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues). The Irish Repertory Theatre, which 'encourages the development of works focusing on the Irish and Irish-American experience, and produces works of other cultures interpreted through the lens of an Irish sensibility,' continues the 10th season of the Irish Rep Reading Series.  A staged reading of Robin Glendinning's play King Fishers Catch Fire will be held on Friday, March 25, at 3pm EST at the DR2 Theater, (the Irish Repertory Theatre's temporary home during recent renovations).  The Irish Rep's literary manager, Kara Manning, will direct the reading. Tickets are FREE, and the event is open to the public.  An RSVP to 212-727-2737 is suggested.

Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, presented its 108th concert presentation of Shaw's whimsical Irish play, JOHN BULL'S OTHER ISLAND earlier this week atSymphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

Irish playwright and actress Laoisa Sexton's new play THE PIGEON IN THE TAJ MAHAL has been selected by the Irish Repertory Theatre for inclusion into it's esteemed Fall 2015 New Works Reading Series and will run on Friday, October 2 , 2015 at 3 pm at the DR2 Theatre, 103 East 15th Street in Union Square. The reading will be free of cost and open to the public but reservations are requested and strongly advised. DA began previews on January 14, 2015. The production is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 8, 2015. The Opening Night is scheduled for tonight, January 22nd, 2015.
