BWW Reviews: St. Louis Actors' Studio's Provocative THE GOAT OR, WHO IS SYLVIA?

Playwright Edward Albee has a knack for writing intriguing and provocative works, and THE GOAT OR, WHO IS SYLVIA? certainly fits the bill. It's subject matter is controversial, affecting, and powerful, inviting much conversation and discussion like great theatre should. Full of disconcerting moments and betrayals, it's just another example of the author's brilliance in provoking a response from anyone who views it. The St. Louis Actors' Studio has assembled an excellent cast to bring this show to life, and sell-out crowds are proof that this is an absolutely must-see production.

BWW Reviews: Stages St. Louis's Delightful Production of THE JUNGLE BOOK

The musical adaptation of the 1967 animated feature film, THE JUNGLE BOOK, is a sheer delight, perhaps best viewed through the eyes of a child. And, the first production I ever took my young son to see was this same show a few years back. But, he was so small he didn't really remember it that well. So, the opportunity to see it again afforded me the perfect chance to reacquainted him with its many charms. Stages St. Louis's presentation didn't disappoint, providing a crisply paced production that fully captured my son's attention and imagination once again.

Florida Studio Theatre Extends SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROLL

Shake, Rattle & Roll is a tribute to the birth of rock music and the legacy of Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers, and more. These artists introduced the world to Rock 'n' Roll, with a west-Texas country sound, sweet harmonies of Kentucky bluegrass, and the electrifying rhythm and blues of Memphis. Dick Clark once said "Elvis was the King of Rock 'n' Roll, but Buddy Holly was the undisputed father of rock music."
