Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) is proud to announce a two-week extension for the World Premiere of AN ORDINARY MUSLIM, by NYTW Usual Suspect and 2017-18 Tow Foundation Playwright-in-Residence Hammaad Chaudry (Salaam, Mr. Bush), directed by NYTW Usual Suspect and Obie Award winner Jo Bonney (The Body of An American). Previews for AN ORDINARY MUSLIM began on February 7, 2018 with an opening night set for February 26, 2018 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003), now playing through March 25, 2018.

People's Light is proud to announce Sanjit De Silva, James Ijames, Deepa Purohit, and Laura Schellhardt as the participating playwrights in the second round of the company's groundbreaking New Play Frontiers Residency & Commission program. The playwrights officially begin the program on July 9, 2017, in conjunction with the final performance of Project Dawn by Karen Hartman, the first New Play Frontiers play to premiere at People's Light. This second round of residencies and commissions, along with the production of Project Dawn, are made possible in part by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Noor Theatre is New York's only theatre representing voices of the Middle Eastern diaspora. Noor is often asked to respond to the barrage of news related to the Middle East and beyond. Often, when news breaks, it can take several years before we see something on stage about it.

SPACE on Ryder Farm, a non-profit artist residency program located an hour north of New York City, hosted their first annual Farm in the City gala on October 24, 2016. The Public Theater recently announced that Louis Cancelmi, last seen as Caliban in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest, had stepped into the company of Troilus and Cressida as Achilles, replacing David Harbour, who suffered an injury during previews and will be unable to complete the run. The play celebrates its opening tonight, August 9, after a short delay.
