New York Theatre Barn will host A Seat at the Table: A Panel on Women In Theatre on Wednesday, March 24th, 2021 at 7PM EDT. The live virtual roundtable presentation will serve as a benefit for the non-profit organization that has served as a home for original musicals since 2007.

Ragtime originally opened on Broadway in 1998 at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, where it played for 834 performances. With music by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens and a book by Terrence McNally, Ragtime tells the story of three groups in the United States: African Americans, upper-class suburbanites, and Eastern European immigrants.

The Broadway Sinfonietta and music director Macy Schmidt teamed up with Broadway’s Shoba Narayan (Hamilton, Wicked), director Sammi Cannold (Evita at City Center, Ragtime on Ellis Island), and more to create “Here Comes the Change,” a music video celebrating the election of Vice President Kamala Harris on the eve of the inauguration.

Stars in the House continues tonight (8pm) with Myths & Hymns with Renée Fleming, Norm Lewis, Jose Llana, Kelli O'Hara and Elizabeth Stanley.

Assistant Director Sammi Cannold (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) has been spending time in London and Seoul during this pandemic, seeing first-hand how theater has survived and at times thrived despite shutdowns and surges in case numbers.

The central project of MasterVoices’ 2020-2021 season will be a virtual rollout of award-winning composer Adam Guettel’s theatrical song cycle, Myths and Hymns, in an online staging conceived by Ted Sperling.

Registration is open for the 2020-21 Season of TAKE IT FROM THE TOP, a series of engaging virtual classes offered through Wharton Center Institute for Arts & Creativity. Participants - from pre-teens to young adults and beyond - receive a unique opportunity to train with a brilliant team of leading Broadway professionals.

The TheaterMakers Studio will host The TheaterMakers Summit virtually on November 14th and 15th, with a bonus day of content on November 16th. The annual conference, which is now in its 4th year, will focus on the theme of 'making theater in a new world' in 2020.
