MTC presented its annual Spring Gala on Monday, May 19th at the New York Hilton

The 53rd annual Village Voice Obie Awards were presented last night at a ceremony at Webster Hall, an East Village landmark in Manhattan.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Mara Manus) announced today that the 2008 Summer Gala will honor Public Theater Board Member David Rockwell for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the institution for the past 20 years. Chaired by Stephen M. Ross and Daniel H. Stern, the Gala will take place on Tuesday, June 17th at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park on the opening night of HAMLET, the first production of the Shakespeare in the Park summer season.

Yesterday the winners of this years Drama League awards were announced. The awards ceremony was held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel (Broadway and 46th Street) in the Broadway Ballroom.

On Wednesday, May 14th the Tony Nominees met the press at the Hilton Hotel.

Celebrating its 58th season of bestowing awards of excellence in the field of theater, the Outer Critics Circle, is an association with members affiliated with more than ninety newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, and theatre publications in America and abroad.
