 MANHATTAN THEATRE CLUB will present its Annual Spring Gala on Monday, May 19, 2008, at the New York Hilton, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, at 53rd Street.  The show will include numbers from this season's best musicals, including A Catered Affair featuring Tom Wopat, Cry-Baby, Gypsy, Jump, In The Heights, The Little Mermaid, and Young Frankenstein featuring Megan Mullally, amongst others.  Stars from the current season at MTC will make special appearances, including S. Epatha Merkerson (Come Back, Little Sheba), Martha Plimpton (Top Girls), Marisa Tomei (Top Girls), Julie White (From Up Here) and Bobby Cannavale (Mauritius).

All monies raised from this annual event, including a silent auction, will benefit MTC's play and musical theatre development programs and its extensive educational outreach programs.

In addition to this one-night-only performance, there will be a silent auction.  Some of the prizes are: a house in Nevis for one week with airfare vouchers on Jet Blue; a trip to Southeast Asia; a catered dinner party for 6, with floral arrangement and a case of wine from Morrell & Company; three nights in the Hilton British Colonial in the Bahamas with two round-trip tickets on Jet Blue; a birthday party for kids in a local firehouse; set visit on Law & Order CI and signed script; theatre tickets and dinner packages, and more.

The Chair of the event is David C. Hodgson of General Atlantic LLC. Vice-chairs are Lisa Bochner, Joseph M. Cohen of J.M. Cohen & Co., LLC, Scott M. Delman of DGZ Capital, Joseph H. Gleberman of Goldman, Sachs and Co., Noah Gottdiener of Duff & Phelps, Joseph T. Healy of Sextant Search Partners, LLC, and Susan and Peter J. Solomon of Peter J. Solomon Company.

Cocktails and silent auction begin at 7pm, with dinner at 8pm, and the show at 9:15pm. Ten-person tables are $35,000, $25,000, $15,000 and $10,000.  Individual tickets are $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000.  For tickets and further information, call (212) 399-3000 x4342 or email jcomas@mtc-nyc.org.
