The cast of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Hair will take to the intimate stage of Joe's Pub for a Sept. 14 benefit entitled With a Little Help From My Friends.

On September 14th, the entire cast of the Broadway Revival of HAIR will take the stage for two very special concerts at Joe's Pub. The 9:30 and 11:30 pm concerts, 'With A Little Help From My Friends,' will help celebrate and benefit Broadway and Stratford Shakespeare Festival actress, Lindsay Thomas.

Beginning tonight Monday, July 27, there will be a new ?man behind the mask' in the Broadway production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which is the longest-running show in Broadway history. John Cudia, the recent star of the National Tour, will take over the role on Broadway after a nearly decade-long association with the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, directed by Harold Prince.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA star Howard McGillin will sing his last 'music of the night' this evening as he ends his long run in the production's title role. Now, after 10 years since his first of many engagements with the production, he has decided to pursue other theatrical ventures and will play his final performance tonight Saturday, July 25th.

The best of Broadway is FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 Lite fm Presents Broadway in Bryant Park 2009' - a lunchtime series that kicked off on Thursday July 9th at 12:30PM on the Bryant Park Stage. The series, sponsored by Bank of America and State Farm, features live performances excerpted from big-name on- and off-Broadway shows for open-air enjoyment during lunch hour. The musical, based on the book by Eric Hatch and the Universal Pictures film starring Carole Lumbard and William Powell, features music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Mark Hollmann (Urinetown, The Musical) and book by Tony Award-winner Rupert Holmes (Curtains, The Mystery by Edwin Drood). Matthew August (Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas) directs.
