OPERA America, the national service organization for opera, has welcomed a new class of six board members that includes creators, administrators, artist managers, and opera company trustees. They join the Board of Directors under the ongoing leadership of Chair Carol F. Henry, esteemed philanthropist and founding trustee of Los Angeles Opera.

Project: Theater will present a private reading of MAY DAY, by Ryan Krause, adapted from the F. Scott Fitzgerald novella of the same title. With Iliana Stein as director, MAY DAY will offer one presentation on Monday, November 20.

Finishing out its 40th Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre will be producing the regional premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's 2012 Tony Award nominee for Best Play, Other Desert Cities. HIERONYMUS is a visual performance that recompose from a puzzle of situations, the life and work of Hieronymus Bosch, revealing the condition of the artist in relation to society and his private life. Using elements of black theater, video projections and giant puppets, 'Hieronymus' recreates Bosch's grotesque and tragic imaginary in a fantastic universe that incorporates the sacred, the profane, the symbol and the metaphor of his paintings.
