The Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) announced today the complete schedule for the 25th Anniversary Fall Festival, 112 events which will explore the theme of Journeys, Oct. 25-Nov. 9, 2014, with pre-Festival programs on Oct. 6 and 21, at venues across Chicago.

Today the Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) announced confirmed presenters added to the 25th Anniversary Fall Festival, which will explore the theme of Journeys, Oct. 25-Nov. 9, 2014. They include New York Times op-ed columnist David Brooks, author and editor Roxane Gay, filmmaker Guy Maddin, jazz vocalist Rene Marie, comedian and Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! panelist Paula Poundstone, and former Brown University president Ruth Simmons. A complete schedule will be released in August at chicagohumanities.org/journeys.

Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research. Filmed on location across the United States, the series premieres nationally Sundays, March 25 - May 20 at 8 pm ET on PBS (check local listings). Lat night, Monday, February 1, 'Idol' alum and Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson belted out a rendition of 'I Will Always Love You,' in a special tribute to Whitney Houston at the BET Honors.
