Photo Flash: First Look at DR. SEWARD'S DRACULA at First Folio Theatre

BALLET HISPÁNICO, in Collaboration with the Apollo Theater, Presents A Trio of Works

In what has become an 'enjoyable tradition during the holiday season' (The New York Times), Ballet Hispanico in collaboration with the Apollo Theater makes its annual return to the Apollo stage, led by Eduardo Vilaro in his seventh season as Artistic Director. A trio of works will draw upon the innovation and versatility of one of the world's premier dance companies to capture contemporary Latino culture through movement. The performances are supported by Goya Foods, Lead Sponsor of Ballet Hispanico.

ShawChicago to Stage James Barrie's Lost Epic SHAKESPEARE'S LEGACY

ShawChicago presents Shakespeare's People, a collection of the Bard's most coveted words, and the American premiere of James Barrie's lost epic, Shakespeare's Legacy. It premiered 100 years ago, was lost, and later uncovered at the University of Chicago library. This one-night performance is part of the Shakespeare 400 celebration in Chicago. It will take place on October 24 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60610.

DanceWorks Chicago and Lou Conte Dance Studio Partner for DanceChance

Beginning Today, September 30, 2016, DanceWorks Chicago's monthly program DanceChance returns to the Lou Conte Dance Studio in the Hubbard Street Dance Center, located at 1147 West Jackson Boulevard in Chicago's West Loop. Since its inception in March 2008, DanceChance has encouraged dialogues between artists and audiences, across 85 events to date, featuring the work of more than 200 Chicago-based choreographers.

Winifred Haun & Dancers Travels to Australia

Winifred Haun & Dancers will make their way to Melbourne, Australia to collaborate with renowned Australian circus artist, Emma Serjeant, formerly of Casus Circus. Winifred Haun and Ms. Serjeant will co-create a new work that combines contemporary dance and circus. Currently titled "Trashed", this innovative movement-based work will, according to Ms. Haun, "explore our increasingly messy world, which is filled with way, way too much stuff. Humans are natural hoarders and we all have too many things. The real tragedy is that these things are taking priority over the other humans in our lives."

Megan McGinnis-Led SENSE AND SENSIBILITY Begins Tonight at The Old Globe

The Old Globe presents the West Coast premiere of Paul Gordon's delightfully romantic new musical SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, developed with Rick Boynton and presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it was commissioned and had its world premiere in April 2015.

Megan McGinnis to Star in SENSE AND SENSIBILITY at The Old Globe; Cast, Creatives Set!

The Old Globe has announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Paul Gordon's delightfully romantic new musical SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, developed with Rick Boynton and presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it was commissioned and had its world premiere in April 2015.

ShawChicago to Present MARK TWAIN IN PERSON

ShawChicago presents Jeff Award nominee Richard Henzel performing in his signature piece, Mark Twain In Person. This production will be at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60610 on June 20 at 7 PM. Dessert and wine reception will follow the performance.

MAMMA MIA! Farewell Tour Will Host Open Casting Calls in Los Angeles & Chicago

MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, will hold an open call casting search for the roles of Donna and Sam as it embarks on its National Farewell Tour. Concert Dance Inc. to Open 2016 Ravinia Season and Ruth Page Festival of Dance, 6/2-3

CDI/Concert Dance Inc. (CDI) returns as part of the Ruth Page Festival of Dance and marks the opening event of the 2016 Ravinia Season Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Ravinia's Bennett Gordon Hall. Ravinia is located at 418 Sheridan Rd., Highland Park and gates to the event open at 6:30 p.m. Regularly commissioned by Ravinia to present new works, the CDI performance will highlight a preview of Artistic Director Venetia Stifler's critically-acclaimed full-length work originally created in 1985 but reimagined for the 21st Century,  "The Chicago Project: Future Present", and also feature guest company the Ruth Page Civic Ballet who will perform their complete work "Movements" that was created as part of their cultural exchange program with Cuba's Escuela Nacional de Ballet in 2015.
