Foothills Theatre Announces New Student & Faculty Discounts

In these recession-plagued days, too often citizens have to deprive themselves of entertainment because they lack sufficient disposal dollars. As a response to these trying times, Foothills Theatre Company announces a new pricing policy. Foothills Artistic Director, Russell Garrett, states, 'the performances at Foothills are professional caliber, extremely entertaining, and should not be missed. The new policy will allow college students and seniors a better opportunity to attend the theatre.' Effective immediately, college students and faculty can purchase tickets for regular season Thursday and Friday evening performances for $15 by presenting their WOO Cards or College ID's at the box office.

Foothills Theatre School is offering three classes for their winter session. Classes are being offered starting January 31 and running till March 24th. The goal for the education program at Foothills Theatre is to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable environment where students of all ages and backgrounds are able to increase their knowledge, develop as performers, become life long lovers of the arts, and most importantly grow as individuals. The skills and knowledge learned in the various classes and programs will help to encourage and build social interaction skills that translate to daily life, as well as professional careers related or unrelated to the theatrical professions.

Idols of the King, a musical celebration of Elvis Presley, is coming to Foothills Theatre January 10- February 1, 2009. Written by Ronnie Claire Edwards and Allen Crowe, Idols of the King is a look at the fans that immortalized the King. Told in hilarious and touching vignettes as his fans travel to Vegas to catch him in concert, the stories are framed by the King in Concert as Elvis sings 16 of his greatest hits including Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock, Love Me Tender, Can't Help Falling in Love, Burning Love, Hound Dog and more.
