Idols of the King, a musical celebration of Elvis Presley, is coming to Foothills Theatre January 10- February 1, 2009.

Written by Ronnie Claire Edwards and Allen Crowe, Idols of the King is a look at the fans that immortalized the King. Told in hilarious and touching vignettes as his fans travel to Vegas to catch him in concert, the stories are framed by the King in Concert as Elvis sings 16 of his greatest hits including Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock, Love Me Tender, Can't Help Falling in Love, Burning Love, Hound Dog and more.

Directed by Foothills Theatre's Artistic Director, Russell Garrett, Idols of the King features a talented cast including Bill Mootos and Lynne Rosenberg, who play multiple characters whose lives have been influenced by Elvis.

Acclaimed Elvis performer, Jack Foltyn, originally played the role of Elvis Presley for Idols of the King author Ronnie Claire Edwards in 2004. He has performed Elvis all over the country and has earned the coveted "Approved by Graceland" seal of approval! Most recently, Jack performed in Christmas In Graceland, which he wrote, directed, and choreographed and Walk A Mile In My Shoes, which he also choreographed and directed.

Idols of the King plays at Foothills Theatre January 10 to February 1. Tickets range in price from $32 to $38. Student seats are $19 Groups of 20 or more save $10 per ticket. Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office by calling (508) 754-4018 or online at www.foothillstheatre.com.

Following Idols of the King in the 2008-2009 season is The Rainmaker, playing February 7- March 1. The Rainmaker is the funny and heartwarming romantic comedy about a country girl Lizzie and how a rainmaker turns his magic on her and convinces her of her own special beauty. The rest of the season includes: The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (March 14- April 5) the bawdy musical comedy that will get your boots stompin'. Doubt (April 18- May 10) the gripping story of suspicion is the most acclaimed play of our time. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (May 16- June 7) lively musical comedy for the whole family!

Foothills Theatre is conveniently located at the Courtyard just off Commercial Street and is completely handicapped accessible. Foothills Theatre Company is Central Massachusetts only full-time, non-profit theatre company producing an 8-show regular season schedule, year-round children's theatre productions and Professional Theatre School.
