Foothills Theater Welcomes THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE 3/14

Dust off your cowboy boots and head down to Foothills Theatre March 14 -April 5, 2009 to see the high energy musical comedy, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas!

Written By Larry L. King and Peter Masterson, with music and lyrics by Carol Hall; this exuberant and bawdy musical comedy recounts a real-life story of small-town vice, statewide political sidestepping, and that Great American Pastime, sex. The Chicken Ranch, one of the better-known pleasure palaces in all of Texas, is frequented by governors, senators, and even victorious college football teams until a television watchdog turns his camera and his righteous indignation on Miss Mona's place.

Directed by Foothills Theatre's Artistic Director, Russell Garrett with musical direction by Fred Frabotta The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas features, Peter S. Adams as the Governor, Jerry Bisantz as Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd , Dee Crawford as Jewel, Shannon Lee Jones as Miss Mona, Merrill Peiffer as Doastey Mae, Bill Taylor as the Senator, and Russell Garrett as Melvin P. Thorpe. The cast also includes: Abby Chase, Casey Connolly, Patrick Dorow, Paual Hackett, Scot Larsen, Mark Linehan, Nick Peciaro, Molly Prout, Haley Roth, Timothy Syokel, Jeremy A. Towle, Cheryl Turski, Alisa Walker.

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas will appear at Foothills Theatre March 14 to April 5, 2009. Tickets range in price from $32 to $38. Student seats are $19, Groups of 20 or more save $10 per ticket. Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office by calling (508) 754-4018 or online at www.foothillstheatre.com.

Following The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Foothills Theatre will present Foothills: A Celebration of the Theatre on April 11th starting at 6:30. The evening will consist of food, drink, great auction items, and wonderful live entertainment brought to you by many of the great talents who have performed on the Foothills' stage over the years. All money raised will benefit the theatre and their efforts to keeping regional theatre alive in downtown Worcester. Tickets for the event range from $50- $200. Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office by calling (508) 754-4018 or online at www.foothillstheatre.com.

Foothills Theatre is conveniently located at the Courtyard just off Commercial Street and is completely handicapped accessible. Foothills Theatre Company is Central Massachusetts only full-time, non-profit theatre company producing an 8-show regular season schedule, year-round children's theatre productions and Professional Theatre School.
