Vital Theatre Company and HIT Entertainment's ANGELINA BALLERINA THE MUSICAL will continue performances at Theater at St. Jean on the Upper East Side of Manhattan from June 16 through August 18. The show, with book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo, music by Ben Morss, and direction and choreography by Sam Viverito, is based on the famous dancing mouseling and her friends created by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig. 

Wheelhouse Theater Company's critically acclaimed production of Life Sucks. by Aaron Posner begins previews tomorrow, June 4th at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Directed by Drama Desk nominee Jeff Wise, Life Sucks. will open on Sunday, June 16th for a fourteen-week limited engagement through Sunday, September 1.

In the 19th century, Eliza Lynch made her notoriety when she traveled from her native Ireland and became the mistress-wife of the president of Paraguay's son.  She bore him six children and was considered 'an ambitious courtesan.'  Some believe she turned him into a bloodthirsty dictator.  Others debunk this story as war propaganda.   The theater company The Drunkard's Wife has turned her story into 'a spectacle with music.'

New Ohio Theatre and IRT Theater's second Archive Residency show, The Drunkard's Wife's world premiere of MADAME LYNCH, written and directed by Normandy Sherwood and Craig Flanagin, and choreographed by Iliana Gauto of Ballet Panambi Vera, opens tonight.

AUNT JACK follows the madcap family of Norman Sable-Church. After breaking up with his long-time boyfriend, Norman moves clear across the country, leaving his two dads in a tizzy. Months later, he comes home to clear the air and introduce his parents to his unexpected new partner.

Cherry Lane Theatre concludes their season with the World Premiere of ORIGINAL SOUND, by Adam Seidel, directed by Elena Araoz with music direction by Daniel Ocanto. ORIGINAL SOUND will begin performances on Tuesday, April 30 run through June 8, 2019, and will celebrate its opening night tonight, May 9, 2019

During the first year of his presidency, after violence broke out in Charlottesville, Virginia during a protest involving white supremacists, many of whom were displaying Nazi symbols and slogans, Donald Trump infamously noted that there were 'very fine people' on both sides of the conflict.
