Based on the famous 1952 film, Singin' in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline-the starlet, the leading man, a love affair for the ages and the unexpected transition from the silent film era to 'talkies.' Known for its unforgettable hit-parade of Hollywood standards, splashy production numbers, hilarious situations and snappy dialogue, this timeless Muny favorite is sure to be a downpour of pure delight.

Now that the weather has finally cleared up in St. Louis, you'll want to go celebrate The Muny in its 100th year at Singin' in the Rain. Celebrated as one of the most iconic musicals of all time-and perhaps as relatable today in some ways as ever, while we move through the digital revolution-Singin' in the Rain, a comedy set in the Golden Age of Hollywood, tells an amusing story about what can happen when technology changes everything.

The Muny presents Singin' in the Rain, June 27 - July 3. Broadway, film and television stars Corbin Bleuand Jeffrey Schecter portray Don Lockwood and Cosmo Brown, respectively, and former Muny Kid, Muny Teen and Indiana University student Berklea Going will star as Kathy Selden. Singin' in the Rain is directed by Marc Bruni and choreographed by Rommy Sandhu with music direction by Ben Whiteley. Singin' in the Rain is proudly sponsored by Ameren.

Aspiring young actors from the NYC area joined with stars from School of Rock, Finding Neverland, The King and I, among others, for a Memorial Day weekend 'Cast Recording Experience' with The Broadway Star Project. After Monday's powerful performance at The Triad, Eduardo Jimenez Pons (President of The BSP) said, 'These talented artists accomplished so much more than recording an EP to benefit the NO BULLY organization, making a music video, and putting together a beautiful show. They grew as artists and individuals, too. They challenged themselves to do more, and by doing so, they inspired each other to be better.'

The Dazzle Awards are affiliated with the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (“The Jimmy Awards”) presented by The Broadway League Foundation.

Each year, The Wick Theatre and Costume Museum stages a production selected by their fans, this season, the iconic Singin' in the Rain takes that honor. 'We were so excited when Singin' in the Rain won our fan poll,' said Marilynn A. Wick, Managing Executive Producer. Containing hits such as 'You Are My Lucky Star', 'Good Mornin', 'You Stepped Out of a Dream', 'Make 'em Laugh', 'You Were Meant For Me' and of course the title song 'This is one of the most beloved films of all times, and watching it come to life with this amazingly talented cast will be an experience that audience members will treasure. The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for The Muny's 2018 centennial season, which opens on June 11 with the first production in the world of Jerome Robbins' Broadway since it's Tony - award winning Broadway and national tour productions.
