Following a record-breaking World Premiere at Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples, Fla., the hit play Scapino is headed to New York for the show's first commercial reading on Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at The Davenport Theater located at 354 W. 45th Street.

Sidelined, the acclaimed, original short documentary film, will have its television premiere on Lifetime on Monday, January 14 at 10pm ET/PT.

Crowe also serves as an executive producer on the series. Emmy nominee Kari Skogland (The Handmaid's Tale) will direct the first two episodes. Production is set to begin next month in New York.

Annapurna Pictures has dropped the Fox News-Roger Ailes film just two weeks before production is set to begin, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

Malcolm McDowell has been cast as Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corp, in the upcoming film about Fox News' disgraced former chief Roger Ailes, according to Variety. The Annapurna drama about is about Ailes and the women who brought him down.

SHOWTIME has announced the order for an eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, starring Academy Award® and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind)in the title role and based upon the extensive reporting of Gabriel Sherman in New York magazine and his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room. Sherman co-wrote the initial episode with Oscar® winner Tom McCarthy (Spotlight, Win Win), who will executive produce with Emmy winner Jason Blum. The project is a co-production from SHOWTIME and Blumhouse Television (Sharp Objects, The Normal Heart). The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.

Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and Blumhouse Television today announced that Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) award-winner Anthony Hemingway (UNSOLVED: THE MURDERS OF TUPAC AND THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.) is set to direct the premiere episode of USA/SYFY's upcoming series THE PURGE based on the hit film franchise. From Blumhouse Television and Universal Cable Productions, THE PURGE, which will air on USA and SYFY, and the series was created, and will be executive produced by the film franchise creator James DeMonaco, and led by Jason Blum, the entire team behind the blockbusters are on board to executive produce: Michael Bay with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form under the Platinum Dunes banner and Sebastien K.
