Writer Roddy Doyle Announces Live 2020 Tour 'Conversations With Roddy Doyle'

Fane have announced a live tour celebrating the prolific career of one of Ireland's best loved writers, Roddy Doyle. Conversations with Roddy Doyle will tour across the UK and Ireland in 2020 and will see Roddy discuss his work in an intimate and entertaining evening of sprawling conversation, with various special guest interviewers, beginning at HOME Manchester on Sunday 8th March 2020 and concluding at Belfast's Ulster Hall on Thursday 4th June 2020. Conversations with Roddy Doyle will take in a total of 10 dates across the UK and Ireland, tickets for all venues on sale from Thursday 14th November at www.fane.co.uk/roddy. BWW Review: TWO PINTS - Reflection and Mirth at The Abbey Theatre

Much like stepping into a pair of comfortable slippers, two amiable aul Irish gents meet regularly at their local watering hole. Each armed with a pint, they follow the same ritual (in no particular order): grumbling, swapping accounts of life events, discussing current affairs, daydreaming, counseling, reminiscing, philosophizing and idling in the comfortable silences in between. Roddy Doyle, influential Irish novelist, playwright, and screenwriter, has ubiquitously made his mark in literature, on screen, and on stage. Impressively, whilst Two Pints runs at The Abbey, his novel-adapted-into-play The Snapper is running concurrently at The Gate.

Roddy Doyle's TWO PINTS Returns to Pubs Around the UK

After last year's sell-out tour of pubs across Ireland, the Abbey Theatre's Two Pints by Roddy Doyle is back for another round stopping off at pubs in Ireland and the UK. Directed by Caitriona McLaughlin, Two Pints will head back on the road in August and September. The tour kicks off in The Flowing Tide on Lower Abbey Street in Dublin, before performances in Carlow, Louth, Longford, Derry, Newcastle upon Tyne and Sunderland.
