ELLE Magazine annouced its eight honorees yesterday for its 16th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute. The distinguished ladies include: Julie Andrews, Emily Blunt, Katie Holmes, Julianne Moore, Zoe Saldana, Robin Wright Penn, Renee Zellweger and casting director Bonnie Timmerman. The event will be held at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel.

Variety.com is reporting that Tony, Emmy, Drama Desk and Pulitzer Prize celebrated playwright Tony Kushner is hard at work on Steven Spielberg's much anticipated epic about Abraham Lincoln. This Lincoln project has been on the DreamWorks roster for several years, delays being caused by budget constraints and location complications. This is the second collaboration for Kushner and Spielberg: Spielberg produced and directed Kushner's 'Munich' in 2005.

The 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were simulcast Live Nationally on TNT and TBS last night, Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT, and 6 p.m. MT from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. Of the top industry accolades presented to performers, only the Screen Actors Guild Awards are selected solely by actors' peers. Two randomly selected panels-one for television and one for film-each comprised of 2,100 Guild members from across the United States, chose this year's Actor and stunt honors nominees. Integrity Voting Systems, the Awards' official teller mailed the nominations secret ballots were mailed on November 26. Voting was completed by noon Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008.

'Milk' and 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' were both nominated for eight Critics Choice Awards. Both were among the 10 films nominated for best picture. 'Milk,' was also nominated for lead actor Sean Penn, supporting co-stars James Franco and James Brolin and director Gus Van Sant. 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' which opens Christmas Day, has Brad Pitt nominated for best actor, supporting nominations for Cate Blanchett and Taraji P. Henson.

The evening benefited multiple charities supporting LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) youth. Dinner and dancing followed at City Hall.

Production begins today on location in Minnesota on A Serious Man, for Focus Features and Working Title Films. Joel and Ethan Coen, Academy Award winners for No Country for Old Men and Fargo, are writing, producing, and directing the film. Working Title co-chairs Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are executive-producing the film with Robert Graf, who has worked on the Coens' last six features in various producing capacities.
