Lesser America presents the world premiere of THE BACHELORS by Caroline V. McGraw (The Vaults), directed by Portia Krieger (Fun Home Associate Director, Baby Screams Miracle) at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place, NYC) starts previews on November 5th, with an official opening night on November 7th for a limited run through November 29th, 2015. Rehearsals begin today for Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Important Hats of the Twentieth Century, the new comedy new comedy by Emmy Award nominee Nick Jones, directed by Tony Award nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel.

Breaking News: Bob Saget Will Return to Broadway Later This Fall in HAND TO GOD!

Producer Kevin McCollum announced today that comedy and television icon Bob Saget will step into the role of 'Pastor Greg' in the Tony® Award-nominated comedy Hand to God beginning November 3, 2015 through the production's previously announced closing on January 3, 2016.  Saget returns to Broadway after making his Broadway debut in 2007 in the Tony® winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone.  He will join current Hand to God cast members Steven Boyer, Geneva Carr, Sarah Stiles, and Michael Oberholtzer.  3-time Tony® nominee Marc Kudisch, who originated the role of 'Pastor Greg', exits the production on November 1st to begin production on Baritones Unbound.  Hand to God plays at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street) through January 3, 2016 before immediately transferring to London's West End, with performances beginning on February 5, 2016 at the famed Vaudeville Theatre.  More info at www.HandToGodBroadway.com.

Producer Kevin McCollum has announced that his Tony Award-nominated comedy Hand to God will offer special $55 orchestra and $45 mezzanine pricing and also double the number of $27 rush tickets available to the Thursday 9/24 and Friday 9/25 performances only in honor of the Pope's visit to New York City.  The $55 and $45 tickets are available at the box office simply by saying the phrase "Hand to Pope"; and can also be purchased online at www.HandToGodBroadway.com using code H2GPOPE266 or by phone at 212-239-6200.  Rush tickets are available at the box office only on the day of the performance and are subject to availability.  Hand to God plays at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street) through January 3, 2016 before immediately transferring to London's West End, with performances beginning on February 5, 2016 at the famed Vaudeville Theatre.

Producer Kevin McCollum announced today that Broadway's Hand to God will (yet again) offer early theatergoers the chance to catch this new American play at a special price: $37.50 per ticket, in recognition of the 37 (or 38) productions opening on Broadway during the 2014-2015 Season, depending on whether or not Wolf Hall counts as one or two productions. A limited quantity of select mezzanine seats at this special price will be on-sale beginning Monday, March 23rd for performances from March 23rd through April 6th and must be purchased during a limited one week on-sale window (through 11:00 PM on Sunday, March 29th). There is also a limit of 4 tickets per purchase, and tickets will be available online, via phone or at the box office.

Actor/sword fighters Jacqueline Ann Holloway and Robert Westley will be joining NYCB dancers Jared Angle and Megan LeCrone and members of the Sebastians Chamber Orchestra for On Point: From Duel to Pas de Deux, to be presented by Salon/Sanctuary Concerts. An exploration of the shared origins of sword fighting and ballet, On Point will be presented on Monday June 3rd at The Liederkranz Club at 7:00PM. Musical selections will include Heinrich Ignaz von Biber (1644 - 1704)Battaglia a 10 in D Major; Johann Heinrich Schmelzer (1620 - 1680) Balletto for Strings and Continuo in G 'Die Fechtschule' and GF Handel (1685 - 1759), Sonata in B-flat, Op. 2, No. 3, HWV 388.

Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) will present Lesser America's World Premiere of Nick Jones' (Jollyship the Whiz-bang with Ars Nova/The Public; The Coward with Lincoln Center) Trevor, February 28-March 17 at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Street). The production will be directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God with EST; My Base and Scurvy Heart with Studio 42) and will feature Steven Boyer* (Hand to God; Jollyship the Whiz-Bang), Geneva Carr* (Hand to God; Boise), Nathaniel Kent (The Three Seagulls at HERE; Doctor Faustus at The Brick), Andy Nogasky*, Shawn Randall* (Big Tex at EST; Blue Man Group), Amy Staats* (One Thing I Like To Say Is with Clubbed Thumb) and Colleen Werthmann* (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson; The Mistakes Madeline Made). THE ASTORIA PERFORMING ARTS CENTER (APAC) has announced the New York premiere production of Gregory S. Moss's (punkplay, House of Gold) BILLY WITCH, choreographed by Wendy Seyb (The Pee Wee Herman Show, Yeast Nation), with original music by Nathan A. Roberts, musical direction by Brenna Sage and directed by Erik Pearson (Billy Witch, Studio 42). BILLY WITCH will play a limited engagement at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (30-44 Crescent St, Astoria, NY. Entrance on 30th Road.) Performances begin tonight, November 1 and continue through Saturday, November 17. Opening Night is Saturday, November 3 (8 p.m.).
