An array of award-winning teaching artists are lined up to share their craft and art with theater enthusiasts, theatre artists and writers in 2018. PlayPenn, the new play development organization based in Philadelphia, is proud to announce their Winter and Spring 2018 Education Series, led by award-winning playwright and University of Pennsylvania playwriting professor Jacqueline Goldfinger, which features both face-to-face courses in Philadelphia and online workshops that can be taken from anywhere in the world.

 Bristol Riverside Theatre spells F-U-N when it opens its Mainstage season with the multiple Tony Award-winner The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with music and lyrics by William Finn, book by Rachel Sheinkin, and conceived by Rebecca Feldman, running September 19-October 15.  Directed by Amy Kaissar, the ensemble cast features Will Carlyon, Andrew Coleman, Leigha Kato, Kathryn McCreary, Joshua Morgan, Robert Smythe, Phebe Taylor, T.J. Wagner, and Brooke Wetterhahn.

Philadelphia Theatre Company continues its 2016-2017 season with the Tony-nominated comedy Hand to God by Robert Askins on March 31-April 30.  Directed by Matt Pfeiffer with Robert Smythe as puppet designer and puppet movement director, the all-Philadelphia cast features Grace Gonglewski, Alex Keiper, Aubie Merrylees, Matteo Scammell, and William Zielinski.

When a modern Irish playwright meets a Russian classic - all hell breaks loose. On October 28, EgoPo presents the Philadelphia premiere of Theatre O and Enda Walsh's raucous revisioning of The Brothers Karamazov. Through an explosion of light, sound and puppetry, this theatrical outburst of toxic masculinity will grab audiences by the throat. Three brothers are locked in an eternal family struggle with their abusive patriarch culminating in an epic theological battle. Delirium previews October 26-27 and opens Today, October 28. The show runs three weeks, closing on Sunday, November 13. Tickets start at $25. Performances are at the Latvian Society Theater on 7th and Spring Garden.

Peter H. Gistelinck Named New Executive Director of Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra

The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Peter H. Gistelinck as its new Executive Director, effective May 19, 2014. Mr. Gistelinck was unanimously approved by the KSO Board following a six-month nationwide candidate search process led by Arts Consulting Group, Inc.

The Last Plot in Revenge is a spaghetti western, dinner theatre, musical - with the signature Brat twist of mixed genres, surprising collaborations and rock star talent. Up-and-coming local playwright Brian Grace-Duff takes you to Revenge, Montana, a land where the wild rule, the whiskey runs, the whores are tired, the guns are smokin' - and there is only one cemetery plot left in the whole town. Let the Scrapfields and the MacGruels duke it out, because when the Nameless Gunman enters, who knows who will be left standing? After all, revenge is a dish best served with a plate of spaghetti.
